Announcing: Events component

    Tomorrow, the first version of my bp_events component will be available from my website (http://www.erwingerrits.com/?page_id=799).

    This component will allow your users to create (recurring) events, with optional forum and wire, to which friends can be invited. Friends can either: attend, maybe attend or not attend, much like Facebook’s Events. There will be a ‘Send a Reminder’ option as well.

    The component includes an “Events” widget that lists the upcoming (default), newest, active or popular events.

    You can keep up to date on the development, and add comments with suggestions or bug reports on my website, or on this thread.

    Erwin, awesome!

    I just updated to trunk to check if that fixed some oddities and it looks like it’s munching my sidebars and putting the ‘search’ field as a mondo two-coll on the bottom. See here: http://community.jorjafox.net/events

    Not a huge deal, honestly, at this point, but possibly a weird oopsie. :) I love this plugin!

    I just uploaded the plugin and followed all the installation instructions and when I go to the events pages in my buddypress install it comes with a “Error Permission denied page” I have deleted and reinstalled this plugin a couple times, is there something else I should be doing?
