Confirmation e-mail for buddypress isn’t working

  • Hey everyone,

On my website I am using buddy press. Users are able to complete the registration form provided, get a confirmation email and click on the link in the email. However, when they try to log back into the site it says that they need to activate their account even though they already did. Any help is appreciated thanks!

WP/BP versions? Check if activating their account works If you deactivate all plugins including BuddyPress and change to Twenty Eleven theme?

I am currently using WordPress 3.3 and Buddypress 1.5.2. Also, I am using the theme Saffron 1.0. I tried switching to the Twenty Eleven theme but it just completely messes up my website.

    Hey there,

I thought I was the only one having this problem! I tried a test registration and I get the confirmation email with the key, but when I click on it, it just takes me back to my home page without anywere to input the key or any way to finish the registration process. I tried just logging in, but it comes up with an error message “you have not activated your account.” Weird!

    Any help????

Sometimes, enabling the plugin email from, solve the problem, but I don’t like this option.

Why not? It fixes a server configuration problem in many cases, which is probably what your problem is.
