Hello, if anyone can help me I’d greatly appreciated. I am starting with a clean install of wp 3.5.1 and the latest BP. My groups work great. I want forums in groups. If I go to Settings > Buddypress > Forums and then click on either “Install Group Forums,” “Use Existing Installation” or “configure Sitewide Forums” (which I don’t want), I get

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.
Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Anybody have any suggestions on what I should do next? Thanks.

@zaghareet deactivate Discussion Forums in Settings > BuddyPress Components panel. Follow the instructions at https://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/

Thanks. I did all that, but the forum never shows up in the group. The page exists, but it isn’t linked to the group at all. Any ideas?

The link you sent says: You’ll find that there is still no “Forum” in the Group’s main navigation links. You will need to go to Group’s “Admin” link in main navigation. Click on “Forum” link in Group’s sub-navigation and check again “Yes, I want this group to have a forum.” (This bug has been corrected in bbPress 2.3 beta 2 which is available for download.)

Is downloading the beta a good idea? this thing is already super buggy…
