Email Activation not being sent in upgraded BP 1.2.2

    Hi all

First off a HUGE thumbs up to all involved in the BuddyPress project – it’s a phenomenal development & we’re loving it!

I have just upgraded our single user installation (running on WP 2.9.2) to BP 1.2.2. We are using the BP-Default theme.

The reason I rushed into the upgrade was to implement the new member email activation fix as mentioned in the change log (Fixed inconsistencies with new account activation between WordPress MU and standard WP. All new accounts must now be activated to confirm a valid email is being used.)

However two test registrations, using different email addresses (both tested as valid) produced no email activation messages. Am I missing a setting somewhere that needs to be in place in order to achieve this feature on a single installation site?

Secondly – is there a way to implement a redirect or a message of some sort to users who have registered but not yet activated their account? At the moment, trying to login with one of the new not activated accounts simple sends the user back to the home page. Something along the lines of a “Your account still needs to be activated, please follow the instructions in the email sent to your address”.

And finally – if 1 and 2 above are solvable, would the addition of a “resend activation email” link somewhere be out of the question as a further enhancement to the system?

Both these test accounts are passed to the WP user list and appear under the users settings in the admin dashboard as expected.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

P.S. System emails are still being sent without problems – received email notification of a private message from the site so don’t think that’s a problem.
