Group Invite – No contacts showing

    I’m using version 1.0.3 and when I set up a group and click to invite others, nobody shows up in the list where I can invite them. I have 20 or more people who are my contacts, and the group invite doesn’t show anybody I can invite, whether or not my group is public or private.

    I have no idea why this is happening. Can anybody help?

    Have any of those 20 people filled out their profile pages? See this Trac ticket for more information: https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/470

    Also, with BuddyPress v1.1, the Group API has been significantly rewritten. You may find that this issue goes away.

    Yes, almost everyone of the 20 people filled out their profiles, but not one shows up on the possible list to send out invites. Guess I’ll need to wait for 1.1 to get this resolved, unless someone else has a solution…thanks

    Hello, I have the exact same problem since i’ve upgraded to 1.1

    I had no issues with 1.0.3 though.

    Another quite strange thing is that I don’t get the usual error message (you don’t have friends), as if my list wasn’t empty.

    Also, in the Friends list in my profile, the first two listing methods work fine (active, most recent) while in the third one (a to z) i get the message telling that my friends list is empty.

    Finally, I get the same behaviour whether it’s friends I made when under 1.0.3 or under 1.1.

    I must say I manually upgraded and had issues with my DB. Were there changes in the database model from 1.0 to 1.1 ?

    I just upgraded using the automatic approach, and the group invite doesn’t work for me either.

    I, too, am getting the same issue, though I arrived at this problem slightly differently – I did a ground-up-install, but copied over my bp tables from a previous install. Everything else about BP works fine but this.
