.htaccess rewrite rules

So, rather basic question:
Does BuddyPress add any rewrite rules to .htaccess (in addition to WordPress’s standard permalink rules)?

Because of some problems on a server, I set .htaccess as immutable. At the moment, there is only a WordPress install on that server, and I am considering installing BuddyPress there…

@sooskriszta BP does not add any rule to your htaccess file. Pretty permalinks must be enabled, that’s it.
