Mobile Styling

Will the template packs for BP 2.0 provide better styling on mobile when not using a BP specific theme?

I’m looking to use YooTheme’s Warp 7 framework on a site but the ‘out-the-box’ BP styling is way off once you come down to tablet or mobile viewport size.

I know WooCommerce used to have the same issues but with the latest update, it all lays out pretty much fine on any device, with any theme/framework.

Is this the plan for Buddypress? I certainly hope so.

    Thanks,
    Paul.

@style960 The template pack will be mobile-friendly if not mobile-first.

Good stuff 🙂 That might go some way to solving my biggest headache.

    Thanks.

Can I ask how or when these template packs will be implemented? I’ve installed the 2.0 beta, but none of the BP pages look any different?

    Thanks,
    Paul.

However don’t simply expect to suddenly find BP functions like a dream on teeny weeny weeny screens, if you really want that you’ll probably need to put some custom work in or find a plugin that renders a more app like view of the site on mobile devises.

I’m happy to do some custom styling. Would be nice if the templates can do some of the leg work – BP is basically unusable on mobile on a default install.
