What login/registration are you aiming for that’s not out of the box?

Well I believe I have a registration that will work for now. I would like for a login to not use the admin bar and it all be a front end deal.

If you use bp-default theme, you’d find the login box in the sidebar on the front page and everywhere. You can copy the code from the sidebar and paste in on the home page of your site and add some styling.

    I’m using the dynamix theme.

The code can be found in https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.6.1/bp-themes/bp-default/sidebar.php You could ask theme author how to add the login form code in the dynamix theme

Well I have found several plugins to do this. WP-User Frontend being the first one that comes to mind. Will this plugin, or similar ones, not accomplish the same thing you are telling me?

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-user-frontend/ is for editing posts, profiles, etc.It has got nothing to do with login form.

If you want a plugin solution, there are many to choose from https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tags/login

And you think these will be effective at registering users and having them log in?

I am answering what you’ve stated in “I would like for a login to not use the admin bar and it all be a front end deal.”

As for registration, Paul asked you what you needed that was not already in BuddyPress, where by default, you can create xprofile fields in base (primary group) which users can fill up during registration. Then you could create a new profile group and fill it up with fields which users can fill up after they have registered.
