I’m using the latest version of Buddypress (1.8.1) and a theme that has not been made compatible with buddypress. I asked the developer and he said he doesn’t have the time to do this. And actually everything looks fine (header/footer) it’s just the sidebar that is not appearing. The pages that I’ve indicated to use for Activate, Members, etc. are using the theme’s Default template which has a sidebar that has widgets (it’s applied on other pages).
I’ve looked at the latest articles and I’ve tried to implement the steps but it’s seems like the sidebar is simply not getting recognized.
Keymaster, thanks so much, that’s the exact article I needed. I’ve got it working by adding those 3 files to the child theme and making some CSS adjustments. You saved me a lot of time.
It’s a themeforest theme so I guess I can’t expect it to be compatible with buddypress. I would think the developer would want it to be but he wasn’t really interested when I brought it to his attention.
