Question for profile/membership site

    Hi There,

    i have been looking into buddypress for a “profile” website.

    It is a site to have artists find and sell their services. I was wondering if Buddypress would work for this:

    Artists can put up their profile, for example: Singer, Dancer, Painter, and others can come and find the services they need.

    Is buddypress suited for this?

    Sure. There’s one featured WordPress.tv presentation from WordCamp Yokohama. It’s a Japanese site (with English translation), http://loftwork.com, which only used BuddyPress components like Blog Tracking, Activity Streams, Private Messaging and Extended Profiles. Didn’t use Friends, Groups and Forums.
