My buddypress installation reports two pages missing, registration and activation. When a new users clicks on registration, the system reports page missing. There is no registration page or activation page to associate with theses function. How do I create them please?

What theme are you using? If it’s bp-default theme that’s missing those files, download another copy of BuddyPress, unzip and upload the /registration/ folder which contains the register.php and activate.php files

    hi,

I’m not using the default theme and still experience the same problem. Here is the registration link and it just goes to the home page.

When I download another copy of the BP I don’t see a registration folder, however I do see an activity folder but nothing in there regarding registration.

    How can I resolve this?

I am having the same problem. The registration folder is empty……

Switch to the default theme. Buddypress will be happiest with this as a starting point. Once you have things working with the default theme, then you can switch themes. As far as Registration and Activation pages go, when you ran the Wizard, weren’t you asked to just create the pages, Register and Activate? You would then associate them with those pages in the Buddypress Admin area.

My pages are there but registration is a blank page, no fields for the user (www.pampermeplace.net/twochicksandajewelrybiz/

    – deactivate the sliding login plugin
    – double-check if the register/ folder is in your organic_health_blue folder in wp-content/themes

It is now deactivated and there is a registration folder with a file within it register.php
Any nice way to put on main page the register/login link or widget available? Register page is still blank.

I’m having the same problem with no registration page. I just downloaded the most recent version of bp and wp. http://collaboratepdx.org/ Thanks for any help

I changed the site to the default theme and tried still the same issue. And, I created the various activity and registration pages and link it to BP’s admin area and still same issue.

    – make sure you have enabled registration first in dashboard Settings > General panel, otherwise there won’t be a register page at all

    – check dashboard BuddyPress > Pages and ensure that Register and Activate are associated with Pages already

    – double-check wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration folder. It should contain register.php and activate.php files. If any are missing, reupload registration folder or re-install BuddyPress manually.

The most obvious solution was the problem – enabling registration in the dashboard. Thanks so much, now I can move on to the fun stuff.

All of these are done and good. So not sure of the problem. Is the register page automatic once all of the above are done? Any codes I need to put in the page?

@andreao No need to put codes. Change to bp-default theme and deactivate plugins except BuddyPress to troubleshoot. WP/BP versions? Single WP or WP Multisite? Linux or Windows hosting?

Thanks everyone I finally got it to work. I had to strip everything down and start from scratch.

    Hi,

I’ve deactivated all other plugins apart from BP and put the default theme back on but no register or activate pages come up in the buddypress page settings. I’ve done it many times with no difference. Any suggestions of things to try next?

If I created pages and just called them register and activate, would they actually be anything other than a blank page? How do I link to the real pages?

I thought I was having an issue with my registration page… turns out I was logged in and it just kept sending me to my homepage… feature request would be to have it go to a page that says you are already registered.

I’m talking about the setup. So when I go to Buddypress settings I get:
” The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activate, Register. Repair”

Then it looks like I am supposed to select a page for each of the following:

    Register >
    Activate>

The pages that come up in the dropdown menu for me to choose from are:

    Activity
    Members
    Sample Page

Which do I choose? There is also the option to create a new page but I don’t know if that is what I’m meant to do.

Yes it is what you’re meant to do, from what you describe you do not have these pages, so create new ones, blank just a title as you wish it then go back to the BP settings and select that page.

    Thanks for your help.

I just tried that. I created the two pages and linked to them.

Then I visited the page and logged out to see what would happen when I click on register. When I do it I go to http://mydomain.com/games/members-2/ which displays my mainsite homepage (not the buddypress site – that’s installed in the games directory) minus the css. It doesn’t take me to a registration page.

I had a similar problem of none of the pages showing, even with the default buddypress theme and registration enabled. The pages showed the template, but no buddypress content.

I fixed the problem by setting each page as its own parent page. As a child page, the members, group, etc did not work. As a parent page, they did.

    Hope this helps!

I have being wrestling all last week with repairing the above pages in BP It’s seriously damaging my chances of getting new subscribers to register smoothly

I did Register page by introducing Ajax-register. However, on activating the confirmation email it goes to Activate Page which I can not configure because I can not find a corresponding page in /wp-admin/admin.php?page=bp-page-settings&updated=true

Similarly, I can not find a corresponding page for Link
