This is an error message that I am getting. I don’t know what the pages are that these need to be directed to. I may of turned them to drafts earlier to get rid of some broken links. Please advise as soon as possible.

    Thanks

@newdermeo After activating BuddyPress, you need to configure the components and pages
    Single WP install – https://buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/
    WP Multisite – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-buddypress-for-multisite/

I tried to log into the Single WP install and it shows an error page not found

I followed the instructions on the WP multisite and I still don’t understand if I have to create a page to associate with ACTIVITY STREAMS and ACTIVATE or if there is some page that is already set up. If I have to build the page, how do I know it will confirm that the person has signed up so that there are no problems with the registered person logging in or registering?

@newdermeo did you change your Settings > Permalinks to an option other than the default one and clicked on the Save button?

In addition, I only added the link to the multisite configuration just in case you had a multisite installation. Did not intend for you to create one. My apologies if adding that second link confused you.

I am new enough that I am not sure what to change the permalinks to. I haven’t changed anything but I know where to change them. I will try to research how permalinks work but anything you can teach me would be helpful. I actually have two sites but I am not sure how to run both of them from within the same back end.

@newdermeo Go to your wp-admin i.e. example.com/wp-admin and on the left side, there’s a main link named Settings. When you click on it, you’ll find the link to “Permalinks” and click on that. Then you choose other than what is set as default and click on the Save button.

Ok I did that now. It looks like I have it working now.
