Hi,

I’ve noticed an issue where whitespace in a username is replaced by a hyphen during the registration process. If I register on a none BP site with ‘Paul Bursnall’ that will be my registered username. If I try the same on a BP site, my username will be changed to ‘Paul-Bursnall’.

Problem is that change in not relayed to the user so they would never know. No username is sent on the activation email (as it is with normal WP registration), and there is no notice on the registration page that there can be no spaces in a username.

Seems like something of a flaw to me? Or we all edit our registration pages?
