why does the WP login still appear in my toolbar?

I’ve installed BP, but the WP resister/login in the toolbar is still active so users can create a WP account and not a BP account.

is this normal? how do i get rid of the WP login

Difficult to say without knowing the theme name and WP config (single or network install).
In BP settings you can allow the toolbar to logged in user only.
