hmm not sure think that’s above my pay grade might want to ask in the bbpress forums if nobody else here can help.

buddypress used to have its own group based forums now what you do is when you create the group there is an option to also create a forum topic. you can also associate an already existing forum using the manage option on the group page as an admin.

there’s no need actually the user list is the same (wordpress’) and buddypress does not have any forum functionality other than compatibility with what bbpress provides.

Aw man, that’s a shame. I was sure I had it working not long ago, perhaps it was on an old version of WP and BP.

Quit recommending Welcome Pack!! It hasn’t been updated in 4 years!! I would be surprised if it works.

Then it begs the question. How is it that you and others “can” have a photo?

This looks for a click on a page element with ID message-threads and then executes the starAction function. If you wanted to disable it, just make sure you don’t have anything on your page with an ID of message-threads. For example, just change the ID to something else:

Closing php tags shouldn’t be necessary, WP instructs not to close out files in this way. If you’re having issues they must lie with the custom templates?

That sounds very strange. Are you using any plugins? What theme are you using?

There is no reason why a call to get_post_meta should not work. Are you certain the post ID you are passing to it is valid, and that the record with the meta_key, exists?

It’s not meant to work. We need to update buddypress.org to remove/hide those options. Sorry for the confusion.

It’s to do with the pagination for the Activity Directory screen.

If you have more than 20 activity items (by default), you get a “load more” bar/button at the bottom of the Activity Directory. BuddyPress uses this cookie to store the current “page” of results that you’re on (so it doesn’t load duplicates).

You’ve said “not anymore”, implying it used to work.
What have you changed since it stopped working?
