BuddyPress 1.2.5.2
July 6, 2010 in News by John James Jacoby
A quick update from our release on June 29, BuddyPress 1.2.5.2 fixes a bug where marking a user as spam or attempting to delete them would result in the sky falling on your head. It also fixes a few other odds and ends from 1.2.5 which you can read at our release history.
We’ve also bumped the WordPress version requirement up to 3.0. BuddyPress 1.2.5.2 has been tested to work with WordPress 2.9.2, but our mantra has always been to support the current version of WordPress and maintain backwards compatibility as much as possible.
For the best possible BuddyPress experience (and for the security of your social network and your users) be sure to upgrade to WordPress 3.0.
Happy social networking!
On http://svn.buddypress.org/tags/ I only see 1.2.5.1
Where is 1.2.5.2? I always check out BP from svn for my site, so I can’t upgrade if its not there.
Hi there! Thanks for continuing the great work.
Can there be a solution to the avatar related problem in this version:

User newdemo is confused as she uploaded her avatar from BP but cannot see the same in her blog comment.
Some help is really needed, please

Thanks for all the work you’re doing getting all these patches committed. Forgot to say that in the dev chat the other day.
So, my head hurts, because the sky still falls on my head when marking a user as spam. I have a few extra plugins installed, but it only seems to be an issue when marking a user as spam still.
Any suggestions?
Coolness.
Thanks a lot for your hard work! Word’s cannot express my appreciation. Keep it up!
Hi, sorry to double-post. But does this version support WP 3.0 Menus (custom menus via default admin options) yet?
My site still randomly experiences the white screen’o'death.
Anyone else have that issue? I have many WPMUDev Premium plugins installed, as well as Facestream and Tweetstream. It is very frustrating to have to run WPMU Power Tools to kind of “kick start” my site nearly every time I want to use it.
Any ideas?
Great! I’ve been waiting to update to 3.0 because of the BP install.
BTW. I still can’t seem to get the upload to work for my avatar on buddypress.org
