About the reply-form at the forums: How can I add a message telling people to log in to show instead of the comment-form (which is not showing when not logged in).
I tried to copy the function from bbpress, but not successfully:

Thanks a lot for the update, and maybe someone knows a way out to the posted subject.
@Bpisimine
this would have been the solution, but unfortunately the TRAC-ticket has been closed and been set to “fixed”:

Hi Andy,
I just installed buddypress for the first time, I expected the theme system to be very complicated comparing to how normal wordpress themes work, but, surprise, it is not only not complicated at all, but also very “instinctive” for someone used to normal wordpress. Congratulations, great job!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to JasonG for his help in integrating 1.1 into my custom theme. I’d have never managed without him.
Also, now thanks to him, I have a much better understanding as to how the new themes setup works. It’s not that bad after all, and can be mastered easily – if you know where to start, lol.
Cheers J.
I am trying to find a way to change the output of bp_activity_content();
anybody got an idea on how to do this without changing the Core of Buddypress?!
@Andy – Why does Elgg and Buddypress both lack a search feature for finding members based on profile field criteria.
Age? Sex? City? State?
Both platforms have tag search which to be honest is weak.
For BuddyPress to really be powerful it should have a built in Search similar to that of Myspace where people within the community can find other users in their area, in their age range, whatever.
I’m no programmer just something I’ve noticed lacking about multiple social networking platforms. A granular profile search should be at the core of a social network.
Any input on future development you can fill me in on?
WOW! This was very easy for a novice to get started creating a social blog. Great work!
Question: How can I easily add an image to the your base theme (the one boxed with the software)? www dot erhom dot com
Some simple hints for the beginner (site mods) would be outstanding!

Nice! I’m just trying this now…, thanks again!
The upgrade broke all the links in the admin bar and now won’t find profiles etc. Maybe I missed something but I can’t read the upgrade instructions for the browser window goes blank when you try to navigate to your upgrading instructions on here. Anyone else having this issue?
