Hurrah!
Yeah! Thanks for this! 😀
I had some issues upgrading. I was running BP-Scholar theme from WPMU-Dev and it caused the upgrade to the BuddyPress 1.2.4 (from 1.2.3) plugin to fail. I turned-off the theme and was able to re-install the plugin (after deleting the old one). Then BP-Links caused fatal failures, so I had to turn that plugin off.
Still testing…
Great job guys!! Was the following/followers plug in also released with this build?
I’ve had some issues witht he upgrade from BP1.2.3 to 1.2.4 (w. WPMU 2.9.2). The plugin upgrade failed with errors raised by the bp-scholar theme. I disabled the theme, removed BP1.2.3 and installed BP1.2.4 and it worked. I re-enabled bp-scholar and averything seemed to be fine. Further testing showed that bp-links was generating errors so I had to deactivate that plugin. Now I notice that I have lost the admin bar on all blogs except the main one.
Still testing….
Thx, John.
I just upgraded from 1.2.3 to 1.2.4, and found out that the My Blogs button in the dark gray Admin bar on the top of my web browser does not work. It shows the small triangle right next to My Blogs, which indicates there should be a pull down menu. However, even when I put my mouse over My Blogs, no pull down options. My Account works very well as usual.
This will make my members feel very uncomfortable. Do you have any idea?
Thank you.
Phil
Hurray!
Thank you to everyone for all of their hard work.
Many thanks to all for this important update ! Great job !
Please check Main-Blog and User-Blogs as those disappeared when upgrading.
yeah, finally.. thanks god.. 😉
Upgraded and no glitches, woo hoo!
Upgraded
Upgraded to 1.2.4 (site: http://singlewriter.com using latest version of WPMU) and it seemed to be fine…until I discovered the Blog page was empty, and the admin blogs were missing from the BP menubar…as well as from all the member blog menubars (over 50). Didn’t know it until the messages began pouring in from members asking variations of “Where the hell’s my Blog!!!?” Also then noticed that all the custom avatars on the BP menubar have been replaced by the default “mystery-man” avatar. Did anyone test this upgrade on WPMU? Or is this problem unique to me, and/or my site. Doesn’t seem likely as everything was working normal up until the moment the upgrade was installed. Any advice would be much appreciated, as this is a live site…and not a test toy.
Thanks to everyone. I’ll be a wimp this time and hold back from upgrading until a few of the bugs are fixed but I’m looking forward to it!
Yes I’m having the same problem as Erich73, all my blogs and user blogs disappeared from blogs list. Anyone have the solutions?
Thanks!
@erich73, same problem. http://abc.com/blogs is empty.
jaysus that upgrade was seamless, v impressed 🙂 well done
BP 1.2.4.1 is available and fixes the missing blogs issue:

Great, the 1.2.4.1 fixed the blogs issues. Thanks…
but where is the “follow” button
Thank you! This fixed several issues for me! 🙂
After upgrading to 1.2.4.1, I get this error when I try to manage my plugins (Installed Plugins section):
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /home/****/public_html/wp-includes/kses.php(413) : runtime-created function on line 1
Any thoughts…?
Never mind. Increasing PHP memory limit to 64 MB solved the issue. (ref. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/290717?replies=7)
thanks dev team!
Great little tut, thanks!

Thank you for your information. I have a question and I am hoping you can help me. I am trying to find an expert on Buddy Press to interview for our reps. We are a direct sales company and we are using Buddy Press to have all of the reps. create a profile, and store front page there. Is there anyone you know or possibly YOU, that would be interested in helping out. You can also mention what you are up to and where they can reach you to find more. I would be greatly appreciative. The call will be recorded and sent to each new rep. that joins over time. Thank you so much for your guidance. I LOVE what you have created, thank you!

Geat new version!
Incidentally, we are in process of deploying prototypes for extranet and Internet use with the latest version of BuddyPress (1.2.4.1) and with WP 3.0 RC2 and we found that it is now impossible for a BuddyPress user to create a blog by himself.
Is this a known bug?
Any fix available?
Congrats guys! When is the next major release coming up?
