When I try to register a new member, the register page redirect to itself, not registering a new member.
Has the Huddle theme been updated for BP 1.7? Did you check with theme author? If you change to BP Default theme, does registration work then?
I allowed everybody to register in the config page as a subscriber.
Sorry, but what is the config page? Do you mean you allowed registration in Settings > General with Suscriber role?

I’m having the same problem. I looked at Andy’s site and it looks like it is working now. I wonder how he got it resolved? I am trying to use the default registration page. I allow registration in wordpress’s Settings > General with the Suscriber role. I have the create account button displaying but it redirects to the homepage. I have not set up any redirects.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

when you installed BP have you also changed the permalinks ? You have to change this to something other than default.

Thanks for your suggestion. I have the permalinks set to month and name but just to be sure I saved the settings again. Also, in BP, I have the Registration page pointing to the default registration page.
