I am a new Buddypress user and am considering it for a new business directory I am starting. I have 2 functionality items I am trying to achieve.
1. Categorize (and maybe sub-category) for Members. For example, a Business member might be categorized as a) Restaurant; b) Italian. Obviously, I would like to list, filter and search members by this criteria.

2. Only allow blogs for businesses. I will have to have 2 types of members, businesses and other. i do not want non-business members to have a blog on the site.
