In reply to: How to upgrade from 1.2.8 to 1.2.9I had the same problem with the wordpress admin menus in ie9 and online (linux) sites but not on local (vista) sites. Once I viewed and played with the menus in firefox they worked as expected in ie9…. I hope others using the same sites would not have to go through the same process…
Also the buddypress upgrade didn’t show up unless I ran add new plugins first….
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.2.9 update not showing upI had that problem….
I updated by ‘adding new’ plugin and searching for ‘buddypress’. Updated from there….
which one?
In reply to: Change “Community” to “Network”on the wordpress plugins page?
By the looks of it the theme isn’t compatible with buddypress. A link would have helped but I suspect it might be http://themeforest.net/item/traject-wordpress-portfolio-and-business-theme/116671 ?
You may be able to convert it yourself using the buddypress template pack ….

bp_core_redirect( $bp->root_domain .'/'. BP_REGISTER_SLUG );
}
add_action( 'get_header', 'sh_walled_garden' );
In bp-custom.php the above needs to be placed in a plain text file with “ at the end of the file….In reply to: Where can we find a BuddyPress expert?In reply to: Moving Navigation Bar`

In reply to: Moving Navigation BarTry looking at the page with firefox/firebug…
(You could also use developer tools built into internet explorer 8/9 – other browsers have similar tools)
In the theme’s `style.css` – in the section after line 2347 `#access {` it has the following line: `margin-top: 55px;`
`margin-top:100px;` might be a better setting.
In reply to: re-word ‘what’s new’You could try the technique mentioned here
but you are probably better off creating your own custom language file as described in: https://codex.buddypress.org/extending-buddypress/customizing-labels-messages-and-urls/
