If I disable ‘sign-in popup’ in the BuddyX theme I no longer get the parser error.Buddypress 12.2
Thanks Varun.
With this code I get the message ‘parser error’ . I am using BuddyX pro.
Thanks for connecting on Mastodon.
Lars
I would like something like this as well… have you found a code snippet that does the trick?
Cheers, Lars
Nevermind. My bad. The option is under ‘settings’ – I was looking under ‘profile’.
Sorry for wasting your time, thanks anywayLars
Thanks for your answer, @fawp.
I do have account settings component enabled, and I also checked in the Twenty twenty two theme, and I don’t see the possibility to change email in the Buddypress settings.
Hi developers,
I updated to 11.0.0 with no other issues than some translation missing. I use the BuddyX-theme.
Thanks for your work with this plugin.Cheers, Lars
I just updated to 10.5 and tested user registration with no issues – members and groups pages also OK.
I use the theme BuddyX.+1
Bump.
Problem still there with version 10.0Thanks, @vapvarun .. ‘!important’ did the trick for me.
Cheers, Lars
Thanks @vapvarun.
I deactivated WP Better Emails and BP registration options and now mails go out fine, it seems. I haven’t had any new registrations yet, though.
Will investigate more, when I have time, but I don’t think it is a Buddypress problem.
Lars
I think it is a compatibility issure with Buddypress Registration Options.
Hi aeldri,
r-a-y showed me how to do it in this thread
I added a few lines that insert images in the header and footer of the template – line 189-192 and 215-221 and created the folders in my theme and uploaded the template file.
The problem with recipient name might be due to a typo in the e-mail templates. Check if a bracket ({) is missing ?
+1, this worries me too.
I managed to promote myself to group admin via database following your instructions, but I still don’t see and therefore can’t manage members from buddypress, even when changing theme. I do see the members in the database.
I discovered that I do have other groups created by site members – and I am able to manage members in these groups as a site admin. Strange. Thanks for your time and help anyway. 🙂
Lars.
Yes. From WP-backend I get this with a group that has 9 members:
I can manage members in all other groups, except this one, which I did not create myself.
Edit:
Deactivating all plugins but Buddypress doesn’t help.Hi Brajesh
I found the culprit.
When I deactivate the plugin “BuddyPress Group Email Subscription” response time is reduced from >10 sec to around 3 seconds.
I will report it to them. Thanks for helping out.Lars
Thanks, Brajesh. Found it and unchecked the box.
But there is still approximately 10 seconds from ‘send’ to appearance in the stream.
When I delete an activity post, the response time is <1 second.
Hi Brajesh,
Thank you for answering.
Yes, I have. I checked the settings, but there’s no way to exclude BP-activity?Lars
Hi Georgio – nice work. Following this topic.
Nice improvement to be able to add images to activity posts. Would be great with a ‘sticky post’ button as well. I hope someone will help with this.Cheers, Lars
Yes, I think it looks OK now.
I hid the labels ‘username’ and password’ to save space for the input fields. I would like to add theses labels as placeholder text to them, though – some users might be confused by seeing two empty boxes.
Is there any way I could do that, without editing the widget code?
Thanks,
LarsThanks @iamthewebb, your hint helped me in the right direction.
You are right, it doesn’t look so well on a mobile device. How can I fix that?
Cheers, Lars
I have the same probem.
Autoptimize is not the culprit.
Latest WP and BP. My host is WP Engine.
Using Nouveau it looks like I could edit
<?php bp_nouveau_signup_form(); ?>
and add some simple <br/> between form elements, but I cant locate the code with the signup form?
