In reply to: Very strange issue with full name field (1.0.1)
Same problem as this, working on a fix.
In reply to: My little registering nightmareThis looks like it may be related to this:
In reply to: registration YIKESI should also add – this problem will only occur if one person signs up multiple accounts on the same computer. Which is why the problem did not occur for others.
In reply to: registration YIKESThis is a persistent cookie problem introduced in 1.0.1, can you log this problem in trac please?
In reply to: Best non-BuddyPress Community/Social Site?Very nice, but certainly something BuddyPress is very capable of producing.
Some people are starting to realize this now, but most of the power of BuddyPress is in the theme. You can really highly customize your installation if you know WP/BP theme tags and structure.
You’d need to write some custom components to handle the color objects, but that would not be at all difficult.
Great site though, an excellent example of a community built around a solid niche.
In reply to: My little registering nightmareI can’t understand how the messaging problem happens, everything is sent using usernames, and has nothing to do with profile fields.
In fact, everything in BuddyPress is based on usernames, and those have to be unique. Perhaps you can give more detail on some specific problems?
In reply to: 1.0.1 upgrade breaks HTML in welcome text blockThere is an attribute_escape() call added to the content of the widget in 1.0.1, otherwise the widget poses as a potential security threat (unfiltered html).
You can remove the attribute_escape() call on line 42 of bp-core-widgets.php but you might be better off duplicating the widget and creating your own unfiltered version. You should be careful with this though.
In reply to: Sitewide Activity doesnt translate anymoreVersion please. Always post your version numbers.
In reply to: Messaging Functionality Not Working.Try the default themes, report back if that works or not.
Not much can be done about this right now, I would just remove the letter listing from your template, and instead just use the search box for users to filter the groups.
In reply to: Messages in BP ProfileIt will only autocomplete on your friends names, you can still message another user by directly visiting their profile and clicking the send message button. Or you can type their username into the box.
In reply to: How turn customizing page to default pageSounds like you need a plugin, take a look on the WP plugin repo to see if there is anything that does what you need. Something like “New Blog Defaults” may work.
In reply to: how to assist usersUnfortunately, you are limited to this option right now. Future versions will allow admins to pose as another user in the system.
As an admin, you can change the user’s password to something you know, then ask the user to change it back when you are done.
In reply to: SeesmicIt’s probably getting filtered by the kses function. Can you provide an example?
In reply to: Official WordPress Blackberry App ConfirmedNo, not to begin with. You could still use it to post to your blog within a BuddyPress install however.
Yes, deep integration, then you should just be able to use the existing nonce that is generated by WordPress.
In reply to: Uploading documents, photos?Well said.
In reply to: BP is still way too buggyThanks for the follow up Jeff, I don’t see anything constructive here.
In reply to: Facebook on TestBP.orgIt is just the stock plugin, no mods.
In reply to: bp-photo what a GREAT plugin! If the plugin continues to improve and sticks to the standards then I’d like to allow Manoj to continue building it as the official component. We’ll see how it pans out over the next little while.
In reply to: bp-photo what a GREAT plugin!Don’t worry about that, it won’t be an issue.
In your CSS:
.activity-list blockquote { display: none; }test
oci-contents.php line 292 there is var_dump() call that is causing the problems above.
In reply to: Buddypress.org profile layout theme, I want it!For what it’s worth – the customization of this theme was done in 2 days and based on the original default theme. If you are competent with CSS then it should not a be problem for you.
