In reply to: The theme for this site
I’d like to make something similar for people, I just don’t want clones of this site popping up and confusing everyone.
In reply to: [Adjust Time Zone]In this version, your root blog timezone must match your server timezone, wherever the server is in the world. This will probably get fixed in upcoming versions, but right now this is how you’ll get rid of it.
In reply to: Blog Avatarjust remove them in your theme if you don’t like them. Or – you could use the author’s avatar instead.
In reply to: Not Found error since upgrading from RC-2“Crisis” is not a smart topic title, I’ve changed it.

http://www.beerandblog.com/wp-content/bp-themes/bpmember/css/loader.php

@andrea_r: I’m surprised no one has done that yet. Should be quite easy.
In reply to: bpContents 0.1X Core Code – Dev Sneak PeekWill spend some time this weekend to read over this.
In reply to: Search isn’t working (well)I fixed this in 1.0.
In reply to: [Adjust Time Zone]The problem is you need to adjust your time zone.

For the “time since” to work correctly, the timezone setting for your root blog has to match the time on your server.
You can change it under “Settings > General” in your /wp-admin/ area.
In reply to: Default Theme Issues – HELP! 🙂The home theme is not designed to be activated on every members blog. You could create your own theme that brings in some BuddyPress features for each blog though. Users can actually add still add BuddyPress widgets to their blogs.

In reply to: Extending BuddyPressNot sure what you mean “really custom”?
In reply to: Error to show blogs in profileSounds like your MU is not set up correctly.
In reply to: 404 /blog /members etc… RC2 WPMU 2.7.1The blog tables are WPMU so it’s installing WPMU from scratch then trying to copy over DB tables that I’m talking about, not BuddyPress.
In reply to: 404 /blog /members etc… RC2 WPMU 2.7.1This is normal with WPMU, you are not going to be able to transfer over blog tables as there are all sorts of URL settings in the DB.
The BP data tables should be fine. You might want to search around for WPMU import/export tools as I believe there are some.
In reply to: Securing components from non logged in usersNo idea if this will work, but try replacing
MEMBERS_SLUGwith
BP_MEMBERS_SLUGIn reply to: Performing upgrade on live siteThe index.html should work fine yes, I think there are plugins to do it though, there is another thread somewhere mentioning them.
Theme designers should be able to customize the output as well as look and feel of their themes with this loop documentation. It’ll be nice to see what people come up with.
In reply to: Members Widget Time BugAdjust the timezone setting on the root blog in WordPress so that it matches your server time.
In reply to: Performing upgrade on live siteIf you’re using it on a live site, best to take it down first and make sure you back up everything.
In reply to: pb with buddypress barStrange – automatic install worked for me – perhaps your server is not setting permissions on files correctly?
The two activity tables have nothing to do with friendship requests, so I’m not sure what you did.
