The first code you give Chris, would that change the group tree to show groups alphabetically?
I am looking for that.

Does that plugin only change the groups name. Its the forum one i want to change, where it says Forum Directory to latest listings,
so any help would be great.thanks

mercime, thanks for link but it looks to me as if there only sidebars. All I need to do is put [featslider] on a page, for example Home Page, and the slider shows up. Needless to say I tried it on the Forum page, but it did not show up.
Could I put that or some code into the file that the forum page is in, so when the forum page is loaded it will also load the slider.

Thanks mercime, it seems to be caused by the plugin BP Group Hierarchy. I deactivated the plugin and the problem was gone. If the plugin has support, I will ask there.

If I can ask the opposite. I see WP have an update at the moment. Should we update WP when we see there is an update available. I would be worried the BP installed (I have the latest one) will not work with the newest WP.

I like it. How did you do the drop down menus on the groups, forums ect tabs. I like that.

I totally agree with you, I actually thought it was a bug BP had. The only way I can search is if the word or some word near what i am looking for, is listed on the hot tags widget. Maybe BP should have a tag page, with all the tag words (alphabetically) listed. I am sure that would be easy to set up.

I have tried it on my test site, updated tp WP 3.2. Diverted the theme back to the default, but do not see any notice or link to update to BP 1.2.9

Just found it. Its not listed on the updates tab, but when I went it to the list of my plugins, it said there that there was an update available.

mercime you closed my question and sent me here. If you read my question you would know I have the plugin you have linked here, but its something extra I want.

I want a plugin or to know the code to stop members becoming members of too many groups. The plugin here, that I have, limites the number of groups a member can make and become admin off, but does not limit the number of groups a member can join as a normal member.
That is what I am looking for.
Please put my question back up so it can be answered

Make sure you have that members can join, go to Dash Board>settings>general settings, click on the box beside
Membership Anyone can register
