Thanks, @bplove 1-2) Sure you can enable GTM for some groups only. Look in GTM System admin page under BuddyPress menu for appropriate options (use checkboxes near a list of groups). 3) No, currently not. If you enabled GTM for ALL groups, then just after creation ToDo menu in the group navigation will be. If for […]

@bplove—Hey just saw your post. I don’t have a demo of the latest version of Eventpress up at the moment, will do when I get some more time.
I haven’t looked at Buddyvents that carefully tbh but it seems like a good plugin—being premium I’d assume that the release cycle, support will be more regular than EventPress will have. Off hand, I’d say…[Read more]

foxly posted on the forum topic 0.1.8 upgrade path in the group BuddyPress Media: 14 years, 2 months ago
Yes, that is correct. When you install the RELEASE version of BP-Media 0.1.9 on your system, it will recognize your 0.1.8 install and upgrade it for you. It is also *technically* possible to have BP-Album 0.1.8 and BP-Media 0.1.9 running together on the same system, but we’re not *quite* done this functionality yet.

Roger Coathup posted on the forum topic @mentions show up on personal activity streams like they do here on BP.org? in the group Creating & Extending: 14 years, 2 months ago
@bplove @marcrem You’ll need to build your own bespoke theme, with a custom activity loop that doesn’t filter ‘the scope’, but instead shows all activities. Sounds confusing – unfortunately, it is a little. The default BuddyPress theme uses a set of filters (put together by a javascript routine in _inc/ajax.php) to determine which entries to show…[Read more]

thecorkboard posted on the forum topic Favorites improvements in the group Requests & Feedback: 14 years, 3 months ago
I’ve been thinking about the community relationship involved with “Favorites” and known as “Like”, of course, on Facebook. @bplove I understand how Favorites are equivalent to Bookmarks, but I’d stress to @boonebgorges and other BP devs the difference (though you probably already know them, being the smart guy you are), is important. Use in the…[Read more]

@bplove So just a progress update here: we’re now about half way through the changes to the data model. @foxly You are doing an amazing work.I really like the features of BPalbum+ I have even played a while with the Bp Album+ 0.1.9 and it has many features compared to 0.1.7 and I have no problem for waiting till the final release of Bp Album+ 0.1.9 @foxly @bplove @crashutah Its better to develop a full fledged product than […]

foxly posted on the forum topic .19 ready for a live site? in the group BuddyPress Album+: 14 years, 5 months ago
@bplove @crashutah One of the reasons this plugin is taking so long to complete is that we’re building a very sophisticated security and privacy model for it that handles the sort of things that people do on *real* websites ..and these become very, very complicated situations to handle. I mean, consider just a “simple” group album. Let’s […]

@bplove @crashutah Well, the tagging functions (minus tag search) are now finished, so I’m starting on finishing up the data model now. We will probably have something you can at least get started with within a few days. You can follow this up-to-the-second by following our feed, located here: http://code.google.com/p/buddypress-media/updates/list…[Read more]

foxly posted on the forum topic .19 ready for a live site? in the group BuddyPress Album+: 14 years, 5 months ago
@bplove Using 0.1.9 on a live site would not be a good idea. The data model will probably change before release (so you would lose all uploaded content) and we have not done the pre-release security audits on it yet, so the *nightly builds* of 0.1.9 *might* be venerable to XSS and SQL injection attacks. We’re […]
