    So after making it private, it started showing me that error you said it would show if I deleted it.
    The following active BuddyPress Components do not have associated WordPress Pages: Activity Streams. Repair

    @knight287 sorry brov…my laptop screen developed a blackspot and it has been spreading. it has been so frustrating for me for the past days now.

    To check if GD is enabled you will need to access your Cpanel and go to PHP Version, the version properties will show you stuff that is enabled, you can select versions 5.4 or 5.6 to manually check what you need to be enabled.

    @leog371 I am really interested in that your login. I would highly appreciate it if you gave me a really good break down on how you achieved it. Thanks, regards.

    Thanks, I had that thought but I want to suggest members, not people looking for members. I will make a widget somewhere in user’s wall where people of the same location will appear.

    Also using an x-profile? People can easily claim to be in another location thereby fooling the site. We (developers) are known to be smarter than that these days unless some users are smart enough to change/ use another IP.

    Still open for brighter ideas.

    “In addition I do not understand why it works in one case and not in the other??
    Regards”
    it sounded like you got the code from someone it worked for, maybe there has been an update in BP Core and it might not work.

    it’s not a subdomain issue, and u didn’t quote the error u get that won’t let you register new members.

    1. is PHP GD activated? being installed is not the same as activated.
    2. are u using a cloud protection? ur IP might have been flagged as spam so it will not work well with ur site if you are using suspicious IP. This also happens if you are using Tor browser or something similar.

    wow, with that code I would say you are taking things too far. Just use page inspector tool to trace the CSS and remove it.

    Right-click on the add-friend button and select ‘inspect element’. Then go to the CSS, on the right tab of the inspection tool. I would suggest you make the edit in a child theme so that it won’t go out on an update.

    did u understand?

    i am having a really bad network sorry for the late response, but i am already using a child theme. What i am confused about is changes inside the BP Plugin, like the registration page. I am want to know if after customizing it and BP Plugin updates will the changes i made go away.
    public_html/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members
    If i can override it with the child theme, then how? Because i don’t know how to. thanks again

    Try this:

    If you have access to your CPanel go to PHP version try updating it to the latest or try a version that allows you to enable “php gd”. When you enable it check again.

    1. I am not that convenient with MySQL, I think I will just leave it for now.
    2. No problem with other content

    @dopeboy

    @peter-hamilton didn’t work.

    I also copied wp-login and renamed everything wp-login.php with login.php but it behaves as if I was using the Rename wp-login plugin. It logs in but doesn’t redirect. Well, I think I will just leave everything as wp-login for now, maybe something needs to be updated somewhere before custom login will fully replace the function of wp-login. Thanks for your support so far.

    Sorry, I don’t think that was the problem. See initially the group I wanted to create was named D'Casa Restaurant and bar But the one that I tested with didn’t have any special character. I just retried it again with the special character and the problem repeated itself. So I think it was a problem of the group name having a special character ' . Sorry for the confusion earlier.

    @peter-hamilton @boonebgorges suggestions like this make my head hurt. Put yourself in my shoes, wouldn’t you guys agree more?

    [RESOLVED] I went to BuddyPress options in WP Dash and the disabled User Groups Component and reenabled it then I was able to pass the first step and created a group. It works fine and normal now.

    But I don’t know if you understand why it did that and why what I did fix the issue. If you do, could you explain to me? Thanks

    1. Nothing didn’t see a cookie, didn’t work
    2. Didn’t set a custom cookie path
    3. Tried other browsers, even with a mobile phone still the same
    4. Errors after I clicked Create Group and Continue.

    Can’t even create a group from the dashboard. It takes me to front-end UI the moment I click on create group from dashboard

    You know at times all these programming stuff just pile up in your head and overflow sometimes.

    SO I disabled the Rename WP Login and then (wp-admin) then everything worked fine. So what do you propose i do? Since i don’t want to use default wp-admin login.

    @dopeboy

    Rename wp-login. Well, its a community site where everybody is logging in, generation community sites comes with Login, not wp-admin. And worse amateurs will know that you are running WP and think there is nothing different from your big website and their blog.

    LH Private BP works, I don’t know if you understood the problem I am having. This is my problem, after login the page just refreshes, but the user has already been logged in, then he can browse the site as a logged in member. But might be under the impression that he has not logged in because it didn’t take him to where he was about to go before he was requested to login.

    Logged out user Before login, going to a group named ‘the blog coach’ he clicks on the link sent by a friend example.com/groups/the-blog-coach
    he gets redirected to
    https://www.example.com/login/?redirect_to=%2Fgroups%2Fthe-blog-coach%2F

    Link after logging in still directed to
    https://www.example.com/login/?redirect_to=%2Fgroups%2Fthe-blog-coach%2F

    the page just refreshes no direction. i copied the links uniquely before and after login.

    Before you respond to this, please try to make me understand how far you have understood me and my problem so far? Thanks so far

    1. Didn’t see anything via DB and Dashboard
    2. Didn’t see anything in cookies
    3. The only errors I saw I don’t think it concerns bp-groups.
