Thank you so much for keeping malleable with buddypress updated.
Now let me ask you a question: what are the benefits of basing a BP theme on Hybrid framework ? I mean, I know I can profit from Hybrid’s widget areas and all that but on the “blog side” is there any other benefit that I am not noticing ?
Do not worry, I don’t understand it either.
To have standalone forums, you have to mess with a standalone bbP installation, which I think will be less integrated than the default groups+forums setup.
I am not sure, but with previous BP versions you could have standalone forums AND group forums, visualized all together. How I miss those days…
Several coders such as @nuprn1 and @sbrajesh have expressed intentions of developing plugins/hacks for standalone forums for the actual BP versions.
@Anthony why don’t you check if “allow new registrations” is enabled at “options” under “site admin” in your wordpress backend ? Read the same question today and provided the same answer, let’s hope it is the same problem !
I can see you have BP groups with its forums under BP-it.it/groups and bbp forums under subdomain forums.BP-it.it
Can you have group forums show in the same page as bbP forums ? Like below “tema principale” instead of “ultime discussioni” ? Or maybe shorten “ultime discusioni” and add group forums beneath ?
And I am waiting for Boone to write a plugin that will build my BP community, fill it with thousands of members that will click on hundreds of ads which in turn will make me billonaire.
Sorry for the OT, but I really think Boone can do it…
