    Thanks – handy. There is another issue with this plugin which is very irritating. When you upload a photo and click on the Add Photo button it automatically closes the post so that a user finds the post may have been updated prematurely –

    I recently used the plugin Pending Activations but changed it to Unconfirmed. Both worked fine. However this is a fairly big issue for webmasters which needs a better resolution.

    Not yet. Am living with this on one Forum at the moment and will see if it happens on the next. It may have been a corruption of some kind when the Forum was created due to loss of connection…? Anyway, the second post on the Forum correctly displays the # posts etc but oddly the sub-deck to the Forum still shows ‘0’ posts…

    Actually this didn’t work…! It turned out that this made the buttons disappear in IE7/8 (at least). So nobody could register, for example. I modified the CSS to this and now the button shows:

    <code>.standard-form div.submit {

    clear: both;

    padding: 0;

    }

    #signup_submit {

    border-style: none;

    }

    #group-creation-create {

    border-style: none;

    }</code>

    I’m working my way through where all the buttons show up…

    Turned out to be a plugin which must have corrupted the admin layout. I only discovered this because I decided to completely uninstall the plugin from the DB and hey presto!

    I have exactly the same problem as you do… I am using WP3.5 and the latest BP. I have two plugins in addition for my forum: BuddyPress Forum Notifier and U BuddyPress Forum Attachment. Can anyone help with this issue? Thanks in advance.

    Of course… but I thought it might have something to do with the recent upgrade and perhaps others had this problem? I will sort it I am sure.

    Phew, I thought I was going to have to leave the neighbourhood…

    Is this not working properly because of my template or this really something that needs to be addressed in the core css? Fixed it with this:

    widget_bp_follow_following_widget

    .item-avatar,.item-avatar  {

    float: left;

    height: 50px;

    width: 50px;

    margin: 0 3px 3px 0;

    }

    Now seems to work on Groups – was having trouble with the personal one. Will continue to investigate my end.

    Just for the record. I could not find the issue and re-built the site… One of those occasions when a DB backup does not help. Thanks for those who tried helping me out.

    Not critical at all… you could just change the message to read:

    It used to say – ‘You are already logged in’.

    Thanks Mercime.

    Hi Hugo. I am disinclined to post real urls on Forums because I don’t like them showing up in a search engine’s results so everyone can see what domain issues may relate to which may also raise possible security issues. Thankfully mercime did click(?). I have included the real link to the website I am communicating about in my Profile (which was updated before posting a short url). url links are often only temporary since once an issue has been resolved then there is no example of the ‘problem’ to view so it only really impacts the help factor in the short term. Hope that answers your question.

    Surely… there must be some kind of fix for this. I’ve tried everything – created new pages, reinstalled etc etc. How could I troubleshoot this otherwise? Thx

    Just did a fresh install to a new DB. Changed to a default theme — still not working. This must be an issue/bug/ something…?

    Oh, and I Recently moved the whole thing to a new server but it seemed to work fine…

    @enquirer32

    When I try and create a new group (with discussion forums enabled) I just get:

    Internal Server Error

    The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

    OK I’ve resolved this. I had deleted the subscriber level because I wanted people to be known as ‘members’. I had assumed when I set it up that they inherited the same capabilities as ‘subscribers’.

    Using Pagelines (modified template), latest versions of BP and 3.4.2WP.

    So, person creating group does not have admin rights. There is no capability as such although I undertstand this is the default. So, what can have happened? Thx

    @enquirer32

    With the BP Group Frontpage activated (but this is not the issue because admin rights don’t exist if this plugin is deactivated) I get the message (so if there is a real message it must relate to some text in a file somewhere which is doing this (?!):
