MemberPress does offer a BuddyPress integration with its Developer edition. I have not tried it yet but plan on it.

UPDATE:
This was not WordPress by SEO. And who knows what it is.
If a user signs up, clicks the authorization in the email and then logs in they get the Authorization Page which is asking for an authorization key.
If the user clicks the authorization link but closes the browser before relaunching the browser and logging in, no problem.
I can confirm this problem. After a user registered and clicked on the e-mail activation link, the activation page was displayed with an error message about an activation code.
When I disabled WordPress SEO by Yoast, the problem went away.
Thanks to Twitter and Paul Gibbs, I got an answer in about 30 minutes. It is simple. Turn off the “Account Settings” competent in the BuddyPress settings. Thanks
I am building a fresh BuddyPress site and am still at the testing phase. I have the luxury of blowing it out and starting all over. I have tried probably 20+ combinations of BuddyPress 1.5.6, BuddyPress 1.6 RC-1, “BuddyPress Ready” themes, standard themes + template pack, bbPress lite set up via BP install as group forums, bbPress 2.1 set up as sitewide forums during the BuddyPress install, and bbPress 2.1 set up as BP group forums but not through the BP setup.. Whew… This makes my head hurt
My current, and I hope final combination:
WordPress 3.4.1
BuddyPress 1.6 RC-1
Genesis Framework + BuddyPress Theme Pack *
bbPress 2.1 Installed after the BuddyPress Install and set up to support BP group forums*(I tried their GenesisConnect plugin, but get closer to right by using the BuddyPress Theme Pack
All is well except I need the group forums to go full width (no sidebar). If I could tweak some code and make the sidebar for group forums go away I would be a happy camper.
Thanks in advance for any help on this!

I sent in a ticket to the theme author. I don’t think expecting a BuddyPress theme to support sidebars is an unreasonable expectation.
Thanks.
