You will need to use validation. Validation is a way of checking what information is received from the user before it’s saved to the database. This can be achieved via a filter such as bp_signup_validate.

This may not be what you want, but have you thought about changing the name and slug of the registration page via WP admin > Pages? That will let you ‘move’ the registration page.

BuddyPress ‘members’ and WordPress ‘authors’ share the same ID, therefore are the same entity. A post that belongs to WordPress author with ID 286 belongs to a BuddyPress member with ID 286 (because, again, they’re the same). If something isn’t displaying as you’d expect, then it’s likely to be a theme issue.

That’s related to WordPress rather than BuddyPress. Something you may be interested in if you have lots of ideas for WordPress is WordPress Ideas. Ideas get voted for so the popular ones ‘bubble’ to the top so to speak.

Sounds like you need to modify your templates. Check out the Template Hierarchy article for more info on how this can be done.

From the user’s point of view, if they choose to delete their account, then they’d kind of expect their data to be removed. They wouldn’t want the site owner to retain their info once they’re long gone. And from the site-owner’s perspective, they want to keep a ‘clean’ database. Keeping redundant data is bad practice and just wastes space.

The proper way to enqueue scripts is wp_enqueue_scripts. You should open a topic on the plugin’s support forum mentioning that so a fix can be released

Sending mail is never easy when it comes to localhost. There are some solutions around the web, but they’re often quite technical and hard to implement.

I’m sure a lot of developers create and activate their dummy users via the back-end manually. There’s also plugins that can help. Check out BuddyPress Default Data. It will create lots of users for you.
