In reply to: Get all values of a XProfile field
Take a look through the bp-xprofile-functions.php file.
Ref: https://github.com/buddypress/BuddyPress/blob/master/src/bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-functions.php
In reply to: how to change the count display to the left? The count is likely added via a number of files because there’s n number of navigation items.
You should find all instances of
bp_core_new_subnav_item(). The function will be passed an array as the first argument. The count is usually appended to thenameelement of that array. In reply to: Issues with dotsYour theme’s CSS is displaying list items with bullets. Try making use of
list-style-type: none;.Ref https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/list-style-type
In reply to: Problems with special characters: é è ç ü etcI believe
remove_accents(), viasanitize_user(), is converting those characters to ASCII. You could open a ticket for this on Trac?wp_trim_words() can do that. See this article

In reply to: BP CSS not loaded in headerwp_add_inline_style()is likely used to add the inline styling. Try searching for instances of that in Twenty Fifteen.Ref https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/wp_add_inline_style
In reply to: Display code from xprofile fieldWhat is the script language? If JavaScript then you will need to surround it with <script> tags.
In reply to: Display code from xprofile fieldget_the_author_ID() has been deprecated. Try this instead:
echo xprofile_get_field_data( 'AD', get_the_author_meta( 'ID' ) );In reply to: new post notification countbp_notifications_get_unread_notification_count( $user_id ) should help. Let us know if you need anything specific.
In reply to: BuddyPress restrict User Activity1. You could use user meta to store a post count
2. You could use user meta to store a message count
3. This could use post meta
4. User meta
5. Are you using an album plugin? You could run a scheduled task to remove the daily meta after 24h. I’m not aware of a plugin which will do all of this so I think custom code would be needed.
In reply to: Remove Last ActivityYou will need to modify the template file. See the Template Hierarchy article for more info.
In reply to: Buudypress not writing cookiesThe site is on https, would that make a difference?
It shouldn’t because setcookie() is passed is_ssl() as the 6th argument.
Check out this article
bp_before_has_members_parse_argsis the filter hook you’ll need.meta_keyandmeta_valuewill need to be used.Hope this helps!
In reply to: register – log in /password emailIs WordPress or the plugin sending the email?
In reply to: Buudypress not writing cookiesAre you sure
bp_core_add_message()is being executed? In reply to: Resize member avatar errorIn reply to: 403 error when trying to delete user fieldA 403 response usually indicates the resource you requested is forbidden. Something like this could happen for various reasons. The first place to start is your .htaccess file; check there’s nothing crazy going on inside that. A basic WP .htaccess file with no customisation should look like this:
# BEGIN WordPress <IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine On RewriteBase / RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L] RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule . /index.php [L] </IfModule> # END WordPressIn reply to: Upload avatar for memberAn error occurred. Please try again later.
This is a pretty generic error message. Do you have anything in your error logs?
In reply to: messages not sendingDo messages send with Wordfence disabled?
In reply to: Make ADMIN everyones FRIEND?Try this:
add_action( 'user_register', function( $user_id ) { $admin_id = 1; $friendship_status = BP_Friends_Friendship::check_is_friend( $user_id, $admin_id ); if ( 'not_friends' === $friendship_status ) { if ( ! friends_add_friend( $user_id, $admin_id ) ) { // There was a problem submitting the friend request. Do something here. } else { // Friend request sent successfully. Do something here. } } } );Be sure to change $admin_id to the ID of your admin user.
In reply to: Accept / Reject Friend Request NOT WORKING 🙁Being a premium theme the best thing to do is contact their support team. Unfortunately, because the SocialChef theme’s code is private there’s not much we can do here to help.
In reply to: hide members list on opening directoryIn that case there’s a few options. You could try to find a plugin. If a plugin isn’t available you could suggest the feature. Alternatively you could hire a developer.

In reply to: messages not sendingHave you changed theme over the past week or installed new plugins?
In reply to: Disable User to Create or Upload Media?Just disallowing file uploads probably won’t work because BuddyMedia is likely to have extra functionality that needs to be disabled (such as albums)
Try asking this same question on their support forum:
In reply to: Disable User to Create or Upload Media?user can still create an album
You didn’t mention albums! Are you using a plugin?
