@boonebgorges, @djpaul, @hnla or anybody in control of Testbp.org, the same E-harmony spammer that hit here did same thing over at the Testbp.org forums, just noticed for your heads up 🙂

  Maybe we can ask JJJ or Andy in the next developer chat if it’s practical to reset that test site, or at least clear the activity stream. Must be lots of spam in it 🙂

      testbp is flooded with spammers, if you haven’t noticed, much worse than here, and buddypress.org has nothing to worry about 🙂

  @djpaul what I think really needs to happen is a captcha at the signup forum, maybe a simple 4-letter, that would filter out spammers. I can’t tell if This is a spammer, he might be slipping away unnoticed.

@hnla I read it and people still keep asking. I broke it down more into steps instead of large paragraphs. People need bullet point instructions or they turn off.

To add to what @hnla stated, if it’s about anything you can do before you add BP plugin then try searching on https://codex.wordpress.org/ or just google your question. There is more info out there about WP than you could read in a month.

@hnla That patch is outdated, but since it’s just a dew lines in the core, it souldn’t matter..

Should I change the lines in bp-core-templatetags.php as listed in the omgpizza patch? Just to try?

I think you are referring to the Custom Profile Filters for BuddyPress plugin (https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/custom-profile-filters-for-buddypress/installation/)

I had this installed already and works perfectly in the members-loop. But it doesnt apply it to the bp_group_the_member loop
