@hnla – I use FireBug, but am looking to grab the enite CSS block that defines the forums & group forum display so I can just drop it in my custom.css in my child theme and adjust colors, spacing, etc. The firebug method forces me to rebuild something that must surely exist elsewhere already.

@hnla You raise an interesting point about plugin development vs core development. Speaking from the point of view of someone who makes a living off of WP and BP-related development, I can note that it’s often quite easy to justify the development of plugin-type functionality for a client. The client’s job needs a specific type of […]

@hnla not sure what the coders (I am definitely not talking about the BP-Core-Developers, but rather the “Coding-Community”) are waiting for ? The Core-Developers did a great job and are a bit exhausted for the moment, which is very understandable and acceptable. Now is the time for the Coding-Community to move ahead and a matter of […]

“blooming of features” – Professor @boonebgorges what is the scope or parameters for the “blooming” ?
edit – @hnla “My comment is now orphaned and makes no sense,” I did wonder about what you were talking about 🙂

@hnla – I just built a 30-minute edit limit for my own installation last week. If you post a ticket, I will submit it as a patch 🙂

@hnla @finni3 @techguy @r-a-y @boonebgorges @LPH2005 @mercime Point take, @hnla. It’s been a log day of coding. I average 85 hour work weeks. I’m willing to help with the span control promlem. But it’s going to take some core commits. Thanks! ^F^’ EDIT: I was tire, I was annoyed about spam because it’s causing big problems at two sites I run, and I […]

@hnla –
Thanks for the testing and confirmation. I have created a ticket for this issue.

@hnla I agree with you, but the line between ‘feature requests’ and ‘addressing essential fundamentals’ is not all that clear, eg displaying code correctly in the forums.

@hnla — I agree. Unfortunately, IE 7 and 8 do not support the simple JQuery fix. However, IE 9 is finally with the program on this issue. But, there are other ways to strip a skunk. 😉

@hnla: I should have been more clear. With WP3.0, the “Activate” link for BuddyPress is replaced with “Network Only”. To activate BuddyPress, you have to click the “Network Activate” link. I have tracked down this issue. It is specific to WP 2.9.2 only. I thought I was seeing it in both WP 2.9.2 and WP 3.0. […]

@nuprn1 Most of my plugins will have that issue, so they will need an update for 1.2.5 also. :sigh: haha
@erich73 Fixed thanks
@hnla @jeffsayre almost had me hunting giraffes. That would have been bad because they’re too cute to hunt. 🙂

@hnla It’s a silly code thing. The first row is 0, which is an even number. The second row, is row 1, which is odd.

Boone Gorges posted on the forum topic BP Follower Plugin does not work with Invite-Anyone in the group Invite Anyone: 14 years, 5 months ago
@hnla It looks like the problem is happening after someone accepts an email invitation. The plugin tries to create a friendship between the inviter and the invitee. I should just be able to add a check for the friends component to make it work right.

Hi all – Sorry I missed this conversation while I was out of town. @erich73 @hnla I agree with both of you that the Send Invites step during group creation is a bit confusing. Adding Invite Anyone makes it a bit worse, but it’s not at root a problem with Invite Anyone. There’s something about inviting members […]
