    yep, it asked for 100663296 bytes this time, and gave me the white screen. When I activate the plugin “Mobile Theme switcher” I can actually still navigate via desktop, but ipad gets white screen, as well as mobile device (android phone), and yet I still get the memory request for an increase of memory. no matter what I set it to, how high, it just doesn’t want to play nice. Sigh….they are really good plugins too, as far targeting certain devices

    hey paul, i’ve tried to adjust my memory output to the asked amount but after doing so, i get an even higher amount. I’m working locally before I go live, so, for the time being, should I go to an high amount, or …? what would you suggest? Im going to try the 96M and see if it’s sufficient enough first.

    I’ll check back and let you know how it went ;)

    Ive read from googling that BP doesn’t allow avatar fetching via email, but I’m not sure if this accurate, being it was BP 1.2, a lot has changed since then

    anyone? Im surprised no ones tried this out yet. Or maybe I’m the only one having problems getting it to work lol. other than the wp-infinite-scroll, there is this one also this one: https://github.com/fredwu/jquery-endless-scroll it seems to bit a bit smaller in size, but with the load more in the activity stream, I’m wondering if thats whats keeping it from working

    anyways, if anyone has a solution, by all means, let me know :)

    right, the bp skeleton component is where i’ve been playing around and learning a lot of things for some time now. I know how to set variables and call functions, but when it comes to storing the data via sql, im a bit lost. Im like 65% finished with my bp site, and i have just a couple of miscellaneous things to do, most are easy to figure out after a while, some aren’t. Might just have to hire someone. But i’d rather learn it if i can, cause I don’t like to nag devs with questions all the time lol

    cool! thanks man! i have another question for you, how can i tie a form with this? would i use the fields options in the admin section? or do i hardcode it into the html? Im not the best at this php thing lol but im learning :P

    Hello there, im pretty sure there is a bp-mobile plugin for buddypress. But that might be targeted for mobile browsers though. You could try incorporating BP into some frameworks such as sencha. there are a couple of others, but I cant remember the names of them :/ sorry. I actually have played with one, i’ll look for the name of it

    @seluvega First off, Thanks for the link! i’ve installed the folder you linked to, i get the button, and when clicked i get an ajax notifier , and thats it. Do i need to do some edits to the code first?

    @iamsincere

    @seluvega really? i would love to have a look at it, is it here n BP for download?

    ah! @modemlooper bp-share-it? i have to check that out! your right, what i was thinking is a bit fiddly…but you know, lol. I haven’t heard too many people talk about this, so i was just going to play with some ideas i came up with. anywho, keep me posted with that, i’m gonna head over to the plugin page now

    hmmm I agree. I was thinking of a simple work around for the text update at least. I was thinking of simply pulling the text from the update, like say from the `

    ` tags, and auto filling the form, so it’d be like a copy paste like function. Then the user would just hit submit. This would probably have to be done with a little ajax magic though

    oh! ok thanks paul, oembed-for-buddypress has more sources for embedding if i’m correct, but are there any other benefits to the plugin over the native embedding? Either way, i think i’ll wait for that, since it’ll be just what I need lol

    anyone? not sure if this has been asked before, i’ll do some more googling

    @etivite I have a question, what if I wanted to combine some of the steps into like one or two steps, instead of having a screen for each step. you know? like having details, invites, slug, etc. on one step. i would say the avatar, but the upload and crop have 2 diff screens, and im not sure how difficult that would be to combine. ive been googling this for about 6 hours lol. Any ideas?

    seems like the only way is to hack core files…but thats not cool

    you might want to try this out:

    http://wpmu.org/speed-up-your-wordpress-buddypress-loading-time-with-this-quick-tip/

    should help a little with the speed, there are othere factors as well…actually a whole bunch lol, you just have to do a little googling.

    Nice site BTW, always good to see finished buddypress sites :)

    i want to add on to this one as well, how can you get the page to show regardless of which component your currently viewing?

    like

    `www.website.com/mypage/` or `www.website.com/members/mypage` ?

    @iamsincere

    any ideas?

    cool, let me know how it goes. im doing something similar, instead of the basic activity page, i want a custom page to show, and i give the user the option to navigate to their activity

    Im not sure if your talking about when you log in, or when you visit a persons profile. But, if your talking about visiting a members profile, that shouldn’t be too hard to manipulate which to show first.

    if im not mistaken, thats in the home file.

    Should go like: Template Dir/members/single/home.php

    You can play around with home.php, but be sure to make a copy of the original first, Just in case lol
    Hope that helps :)

    I don’t know about that, I think someone will pass FB up, not sure when, but they’ll get some competition that’ll have them shaking in their boots lol

    I hope its me :)

    Hey @Andrea_r lol, i remember when you helped me with my first line of BP code….I’ve gotten better, thank you :)
