BP Wire is ala “wall” http://buddydev.com/buddypress/here-is-the-bp-wire-for-putting-the-buddypress-wire-back-to-buddypress-1-2/

You can do it the WP way by publishing a post/page by setting “Visibility” to “Password Protected”. Just give the link and password to that one specified user.
