@mairaj first and foremost backup database and server files.
There’s this info which I used late last year for one multisite installation http://wpmututorials.com/how-to/how-to-disable-multisite/ but haven’t had to use this year. To ensure whether said tutorial can be implemented for current installations, please post at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
In reply to: how to customise buddypress menu@rogercoathup FYI I had the notice in codex page for BP 1.5 forums to disable discussion forums in BP > Components since it only mentioned group forums in description. I had not done so in the new (currently being updated) page for BP 1.6 forums because I hadn’t tested whether deactivating discussion forums in current version would go awry since there was a revision which now mentioned it in re BOTH group and sitewide forums. However, since core dev has mentioned that it works above, I have now added this info for Installing Sitewide Forums only in codex for 1.6. https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/#c-set-up-sitewide-forums-only

@ceric you can apply the fix to your installation if you’re up to it.
Open up wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php and make the changes per https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/6247
Remove the line/s highlighted in pink and add the line highlighted in light green.
Save file.
@rogercoathup After going through the Installation Wizard where a Forums page with the “forums” slug was automatically created https://mercime.files.wordpress.com/2012/08/bp16-install-03.jpg the first thing I do is to go to Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and select “none” for the Forums page and save. Then I go to Settings > Forums and make sure the archive base is “forums” and that in the BuddyPress section in same panel, made sure that the “Enable Group Forums” option is not checked. Open up the “Forums” page and I just add the bbPress shortcode/s etc
EDIT – djpaul, didn’t see you there when I answered roger’s post

Likely a theme issue. What theme are you using? Has your theme been updated for BP 1.6? Rename your theme’s folder via FTP/FileManager/etc so it will go to default Twenty Eleven theme. When you get into wp-admin, change theme to bp-default theme.
@kalyan_bs https://wordpress.org/extend/themes/eclipse
To fix alignment in Step 3 of the BP cmpatibility process. initial scan shows that you would need to revise 16 BP template files which were transferred into your eclipse theme folder during BP compatibility process. If you still want to proceed, let us know here.
In reply to: What happened to our avatars?@ermito looks like it’s a theme issue – Salutation. To double-check, change to bp-default theme and check if issue is resolved. If it is, then contact Salutation theme author re updating to BP 1.6

Group Forums or bbPress sitewide forums? What theme are you using? Also, are you using any membership plugin?
@rodtrent could be a bug. If WLW won’t still work after deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress and changing to bp-default theme, do create a new ticket at BP trac (log in using same username and password used here) https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/newticket
When you do, give all necessary information to replicate the issue – BP/WP versions, single/multisite, plugins/theme used, Windows or Linux server, etc.@manswab Initial scan of the code shows that you would have to change 16 BP template files from the six BP folders transferred to your active WP theme during the BP compatibility process. What’s the name of your theme? Site URI or URI to the theme’s demo page would help us get it right much faster.
Is BP installed in main site or subsite? Are you using the same theme for your main site and subdomains? Are your plugins compatible with at least BP 1.5?

In reply to: Page Not FoundSettings > Permalinks and set to other than default for “pretty permalinks”
@michaelsanborn All bbPress versions are located at https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags Just click on the version you want and in the next panel, download zip on click near bottom of the screen. Having said that, you know that the old stand-alone bbPress versions are only compatible with much older and less secure WP versions.
If you or someone else updates the converter, you should take into consideration that the BP Group Forums will be integrated into the bbPress plugin sitewide forums. https://bbpress.org/support/
In reply to: Elo ladder / games league support== I was wondering if there are any projects like this in development now? ==
@piofcube not that we are aware of. The best place to suggest/ask for either a WP and/or BP plugin like that would be with the developers of WOW to help promote and elevate the game. Btw, did you check out any of the plugins listed https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=warcraft&sort=

Let;s give it a try … Open up your balance theme’s header.php, copy all code, paste in pastebin.com, click submit and post the generated URI here. Do the them for balance theme’s index.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php.
In reply to: New Plugin: Spam Destroyer – Help Test and Improve@ryanhellyer thanks for sharing your new plugin here. Changed title of your post so others won’t think it’s another request for help to combat spam but rather a solution to destroy spam

@alexcurrie123 I was going to check out that link posted in first post and I got a big Warning using Chrome that your site contains malware. Your site was clean the first time I checked it out. Please address this issue first.
In reply to: Alignment issues – CelebrityPress Theme@blixus the styling is not coming from BuddyPress. Download Firebug, a Firefox add-on to identify the styles associated with the Avatar i.e., img.avatar in your stylesheet and make revisions as needed.
