B. COPY your theme’s sidebar.php file and Save As > sidebar-buddypress.php
Open up sidebar-buddypress.php and at the TOP of the file, before all other code, add the following:
``
Then at the very BOTTOM of the same file, below all other code, add the following
`jQuery(document).ready( function() {
if ( jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).length && !jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).hasClass(‘show’) )
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).toggle();
jQuery( ‘input#signup_with_blog’ ).click( function() {
jQuery(‘div#blog-details’).fadeOut().toggle();
});
});`
Save file.
C. Upload header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php to your theme folder in server wp-content/themes/avenue/ in the same directory where your regular header.php and sidebar.php files are
D. Final note: Copy the style modifications for some BP elements https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/ and paste those at the bottom of your theme’s stylesheet, then adjust to taste.
@workingman Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you will be only need to create two new files, header-buddypress.php and sidebar-buddypress.php to make the BP templates compatible with your theme.
If you’ve revised any of the BP template files transferred to your avenue theme folder in server during the BP Compatibility process, please delete the 6 BP folders transferred to your theme folder in server – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /members, /groups, /register – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to make sure that you have clean template files.
A. COPY your theme’s header.php and Save As > header-buddypress.php
Open up header-buddypress.php and at the BOTTOM of the file, below other code contained within, add this:
``@mahdiar you need to match HTML structure of BP template files with your theme’s structure. Open up your theme’s header.php, copy all code, paste code in pastebin.com, click submit, and post the generated URI here. Then post the codes of your theme’s sidebar.php, index.php, page.php, and footer.php as well
In reply to: Buddypress forum search glitchWe are aware of the issue. Google has indexed buddypress.org pretty well, so you can use Google in the meantime … search “buddypress.org key words or phrases and/or username”
In reply to: User blogs not created@rickpowell you would need to resolve your multisite issue first –> https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
In reply to: [Resolved] Compatibility with InStyle Theme@jomjom will check this later today.
@workingman just so we can align the structure in one go, please post the codes for header.php, page.php, sidebar.php and footer.php as well.
In reply to: Looking for hired help getting this fluid!@patrickhitches neither BuddyPress nor bbPress are installed in your site. If you’re still want to hire someone to fix the layout for you, do post at

and/or
– http://jobs.wordpress.net/@twoeyes_violet backup database and follow instrutions https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-site-administration/deleting-buddypress/
Contact webhost for correct mod_rewrite settings for your Windows installation.
In reply to: Cannot install BuddyPressDeactivate plugins except BuddyPress. Looks like the s2member plugin is not configured correctly. Do check their docs/forums for proper settings with new registration page.
In reply to: Layout & Sidebar IssuesBuddyPress and bbPress are not active in your installation.
== Should I install both? ==
@giovanniw650 No need.
Install only what you want/need – in this case, group forums.== Or maybe its just not compatible with my Theme. ==
Post a throw-away username and password here so we can see what’s up with the site.@juanlopez4691 An alternative BP multinetwork plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-multi-network/
In reply to: Layout & Sidebar Issues@patrickhitches you can use your theme’s full width page layout if you have one for your forums.
As for layout, looks like there’s a conflict with your theme’s table styles with that of the bbPress forums styles. In upcoming BP 1.6/bbPress 2.1, you can opt for the default “table-less” layout in forums settings..
Use/install Firebug with Firefox to ID and change the styles of respective widths of forum elements
@socialrocketship to download the 6 BP folders, use FTP/File Manager and go to server wp-content/themes/chameleon/ folder then download the 6 folders mentioned in my previous posts
@nahummadrid Did this occur on your installation only recently, i.e., after upgrade to WP 3.4/BP1.5.6?
In reply to: Buddypress forum template.@prosarmientolou page is only for logged in user. please provide a throw-away username and password so we can check out what you mean.
In reply to: Sidebar widget/code for searching Buddypress?In reply to: Edit Top Navigation in Business ThemeIn reply to: BP User post to blog== changed permalinks etc so all appears to be ok, ==
@bobscott the permalinks have not been fixed. Deactivate BuddyPress and change to Twenty Eleven theme, then resolve the permalinks issue on your Windows server at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting
@lakhlu you have a different theme from theme-junkie, so the instructions here won’t be applicable to your theme as I see by the misalignment e.g. at http://kinogrill.org/members/gaba12/
Start a new topic and include your theme’s codes for header.php, sidebar.php, etc like stunod85 provided above.

What theme are you using? Does your theme have custom menu (Appearance > Menus)?
