@essam12 Wall posts are BuddyBoss theme-specific features. I would suggest that you also post at the premium theme’s forums.
In reply to: Moved: Reply To: BuddyPress 2.0.1@payra123 I moved your post by creating a new topic. Please do not post in old threads which are months or years old.
downloaded buddypress 2.0.1 for using forum on my site
If you only need a forum, please download bbPress instead https://wordpress.org/plugins/bbpress/
You’ll find installation and usage information at https://codex.bbpress.org/after uploading i cant able to open my site and wordpress login php also showing blank
Please delete the BuddyPress folder from wp-content/plugins/ in your server.
In reply to: [Resolved] Pages not formatting correctly,@jarith Have you tried deactivating all plugins except BP including those you might have in mu-plugins folder? If you added any script/code in your theme’s functions.php or in bp-custom.php, remove those as well.
In reply to: [Resolved] Error in Invitation@leonyipa http://bpdevel.wordpress.com/2013/11/13/the-future-of-the-bp-default-theme/
At this stage, only security fixes are being done on the BP Default theme so you’d be missing out on the enhancements/improvements added onto the new BP templates which are rendered inside regular WP theme pages as you found out using Twenty Fourteen theme. Check out https://github.com/modemlooper/Buddy-Default where modemlooper has ported the BP Default theme as a regular WP theme, i.e., you could use it with or without BP activated.@greenfeetz 🙂
In reply to: P2 Theme@philmeyer basically some issues still remain on @mentions https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5565
or have I somehow done something to hide it from non-admins?
@fakename014 Either via some function in your custom theme or a plugin. To confirm which, change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and check if the adminbar shows up. If it still isn’t showing up, deactivate all plugins to check which one is causing the issue.
In reply to: User types for a business directorybut I do not want “non-business” user types to be able to join the business groups
@farmer121 you can make the business groups either “private” or “hidden”
In reply to: Members Widget@grobarka What theme are you using? Does changing to the Twenty Fourteen theme resolve the issue?
In reply to: Multisite Notices Showing on all subsites@finchkelsey Have never used NS Cloner but if you only want BP only in the main site or on one subsite in your multisite installation, do not activate BP network-wide i.e., Network Admin > Plugins panel. If you did, deactivate it in Network Admin. Then, if you want BP only in main site, go to the plugins panel of main site and activate it there. If you want BP in one subsite, then follow instructions at https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/install-buddypress-on-a-secondary-blog/ Not sure though if the change will work with NS Cloner activated.
only user who do have assigned the admin-user role can successfully add other members as friends
@greenfeetz What theme are you using? Does changing to Twenty Fourteen theme resolve the issue? What plugins are activated? Does deactivating all plugins except BP resolve the issue?
In reply to: /> Messing up site@ganzuelo What theme were you using? Have you contacted theme author about the issue?
In reply to: /> Messing up siteI went through all plugins disabling until I could tell which was causing the issue.
@ganzuelo most probably a theme issue. Change to one of WP Default themes to confirm.
In reply to: [Resolved] Error in Invitation@leonyipa WP/BP versions? Change to one of the WP Default Themes Twenty-xxx to check if issue is resolved there.
In reply to: /> Messing up site@ganzuelo looks like you’ve fixed the issue. I don’t see anything of the sort per link you posted.
In reply to: User registration not working on fresh install.@lorns Have you tried deleting and then re-uploading BuddyPress manually? Files may have been corrupted or upload could be incomplete. Where are you hosted – locally or shared hosting or dedicated server, etc?
In reply to: "Read more" not working on group activities@doremdou What theme are you using? Perhaps you need to upgrade your theme. If it is a premium theme, you can ask if the theme is compatible with BP. You could also check if the theme is enqueueing its own jquery and not the jquery version used by WP.
In reply to: Join a group, in the register process@jovicar something like https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-registration-groups-1/ ?
In reply to: Display recent user who viewed my profileIn reply to: User registration not working on fresh install.that I’m using the BuddyPress default theme
@lorns Change to the Twenty Fourteen theme.
Strange that you could see and activate to the BP Default theme in a new installation http://bpdevel.wordpress.com/2013/11/13/the-future-of-the-bp-default-theme/But if I act as a new user, I cannot register using the BuddyPress register page.
Please make sure that you’re logged out first before going to the register page. If you were logged out, do give steps or more information to replicate the issue.
In reply to: "Read more" not working on group activities@doremdou BP/WP versions? Have you tried some basic troubleshooting like changing theme to Twenty Fourteen theme?
@giorgosnl Next time, please start a new topic as moderators could miss your post.
But when I click on upload image it redirects to my profile and will change admins image??
When I checked the issue you posted, the avatar was correctly changed in user’s profile but the update did redirect after completion to the Site Admin’s profile page. The issue was also posted at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5580 and fix is slated for BP 2.1.
If your issue is not resolved with the patch after changing to one of WP Default themes and deactivating all plugins except BP to exclude conflicts, please feel free to create a new trac ticket using your WP username and password to log in.
In reply to: [Resolved] Registration page background messed up@nicolecurioni You’re welcome. Marking this as resolved.
@bluesharp What theme are you using? Change to Twenty Fourteen theme and check if issue is resolved.
