In reply to: Theme won’t update
Might be a browser issue – clear cache. Open another kind of browser to view your revisions. Also, are you sure you uploaded the revised files in the correct folder?
In reply to: Image gallery and ..In reply to: Problem with sidebar position in IE7 and Mozilla@bondjamesbond007 shaken, not stirred?

Before anything else, I see that you’re using the bp-default theme and that you’re making revisions directly on that theme. If or when you upgrade BuddyPress, any revisions you made will be overwritten. I recommend you create a child theme of bp-default theme and make your revisions in the child theme.
As for the “sidebar overlaps part of the content at its left”, this is to be expected when content exceeds maximum or minimum width as indicated in style.css where
`body {
…
max-width:1250px;
min-width:960px;
…
}`
you can instead change body width to fixed width of e.g. 980px or 1000px in your child theme’s style.css so you have a more realistic palette to place your videos, slideshows, etc.In reply to: Calling Full Avatar Instead of ThumbReplace

In reply to: BP Group Tasks Management System – demo@slaFFik understood. Each time I visit your site to test the plugin, I see more and more improvements. Thank you.
In reply to: Gallery /2x Galleries??There are three free and one membership media plugins compatible with BP 1.2+, There are features you listed above which may be availble in some but not all and you can decide what you want to use.
1. BuddyPress Media Component – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/buddypress-kaltura-media-component/
2. BuddyPress Media nee Album+ a GSOC project – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/
3. Post video players slideshow and photo galleries – https://buddypress.org/community/groups/post-rich-videos-and-photos-galleries/
4. Membership plugin – BP GalleryIn reply to: BP Group Tasks Management System – demo@slaFFik, when do you expect to release this plugin?
This is a great project management system which many could use in tandem with a BP event plugin (JetEvent plugin or EventPress) and with a BP gallery plugin (BP Gallery or BP Album, etc). It’s easy enough to manually add links to respective project, event, gallery in respective description areas. Creating the project, announcing the event then showing the images/video/audio of the project/event would be just the ticket e.g. for the BuddyPress Rock Concert

Thank you.
In reply to: Even default theme not working.@pacifist congratulations

@coralatlas – many have been able to get it up and running:

bp-default theme out of the box with BuddyPress plus adding a header image would be like in testbp.org
Deactivate all plugins including qTranslate and leave only BuddyPress plugin activated with bp-default theme. If bp adminbar is still bad, recommend reinstallation of WP and BP from scratch.In reply to: Posts and replys on home page@sakarya P.S. you could also post at https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-jobs-board/
@hnla thanks, didn’t see that.
Actually this could be a case of plugin like qTranslate which hooks into bp adminbar because similar issue happening in this other topic.
In reply to: Even default theme not working.“the buddypress links show either as blue links in a tree on a white page”
Based on search in this site, there have been issues with the qTranslate plugin, Since the plugin also hooks onto the bp adminbar, it could have caused your links to appear without any styling. Did you follow the instruction to delete code line for qTranslate to play nice with BuddyPress? https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-qtranslate/Contact plugin author/s and request for the features you need.
Access wp-content/themes/ via FTP/cPanel and rename Spyker theme folder to something else. Clear cache and go back to wp-admin
That happens when there’s no ` `before the closing “ in theme’s footer.php, But since you already mentioned that you’ve using bp-default theme (which you activated in Appearance > Themes) then lack of wp_footer is not the problem. Some thoughts:
– Re-upload BuddyPress plugin files via FTP
– Deactivate all plugins (including mu-plugins) except BuddyPress, and see if same behavior applies.Something like this? http://buddydev.com/buddypress/blog-categories-for-groups-plugin/ with a twist
In reply to: Even default theme not working.Is your WP single site or multisite? Test WP functions first before installing BuddyPress to isolate the problems you have in your install. Run Settings > Permalinks and set it to other than default. Deactivate BuddyPress and qTranslate. Now go change themes in WordPress site – is the theme layout showing as expected? Upload media in site. If you’ve gone multisite, upload media in subsite/blog also, are images showing up in posts with WP default theme (twentyten) on for main site and subsite? If answer to either is no, then you have to resolve those issues first before installing BuddyPress by going to https://wordpress.org/support/
In reply to: can’t open fileUsually “can’t open file” means that some tables in database have become corrupted. One solution is to repair tables. Login to phpMyAdmin. Click on your database for this installation. Backup database (for just-in-case). Click on button for tables with “overhead” column > 0. Then click on dropdown below tables to “Repair Tables” and click on Go. After this, logout of phpMyAdmin, clear browser cache. And check site.
If above doesn’t work, you need to give more info like what WP/BP versions you are using? Is this new install? Was BP running well before this happened? etc.
WP and BP versions? WP is single or multisite?
“I just upgrade a bunch of plugins”
Which plugins did you upgrade? Did you re-run Settings > Permalinks?“I have buddypress in a folder named /community/ “
Is your WP installed in root and BP installed in /community/ subdirectory or is WP installed in /community/ folder?In reply to: Username as subdomain@thelandman – username.websitename.com certainly.

Not quite sure why the links you gave are redirecting to different BuddyPress plugins in this site. I got Eventlite the first time then gPress the second time I clicked on the link. In reply to: Video Plugin Equivalent to BuddyPress Album+BP Album+ has been renamed BuddyPress Media (not to be confused with KalturaCE’s). I don’t know if they already have video uploading capability or how it’s working, but check it out https://buddypress.org/community/groups/bp-album/
