@modemlooper. no bp-attachments is not working as a photo/album/gallery script. I have network-activated it as admin but when I log in as admin or as an user I see no link or menu or anything in the site or in the profile page or in the activity page to upload photo / create album.

Same case with bp-album.

Thanks @modemlooper. Its almost impossible to know what is there in github unless bp org site itself enlists BP 2 compatible plugins or enlists github links. I made a request for this but this is considered non-urgent by admins/mods

I have no idea how to do that, but just to clarify, I think what you are trying to do is exactly what @modemlooper suggested, it appears you’re trying to “change the location” from the groups activity to the user activity, maintaining the proper date, user and etc. Correct?!

@modemlooper is correct: bp_activity_add_meta() will let you do what you’re looking to do. It’ll be available in BP 2.0.

@modemlooper the reference was to the theme being looked for in WP repo or at least in general searches and in that sense an official standalone theme release which is what it will need and ought to be eventually. Well done though for getting that out there; we can link people to it who are worried and want to get ahead of the game.

Don’t know if it’s really that bad because they both load around the same time but still a lot more queries.

I recently had to find activity item info outside the loop and came across a nifty little function bp_activity_get_specific() which can be used like so

$activity = bp_activity_get_specific( array( 'activity_ids' => $activity_id ) );
$activity = $activity['activities'][0];
