A plugin that adds avatars a site owner can add below the upload avatar dialog. Users can either upload or choose one of the suggested avatars.

Facebook only shows updates in it’s group activity streams. I think they should get rid of the non filtered group filter and start out with just updates.

One of the main reasons I even want to use this is to stop BP from adding Title | Component | Title. Most RT an share buttons pull this title and it’s not very user friendly. REally has nothing to do with SEO

Serious! Need this BAD! I’m tempted to can the forum directory new topic dialog because I stated a few months back people will start posting in the wrong groups and it’s happening quit frequently.

When you choose %%forumtopictitle%% Replaced with current forum topic title

It shows the latest forum topic title for ever forum topic. So every Forum topic will have the same browser title. Definitely NOT SEO.

I agree with this but would not one to be locked into a specific media capabilities like pics and videos. Creating core functions that devs can plug in to yes but to not say “this is the only media capability you get, deal”.

Nobody wants to sign up to another site. If you do not have facebook and twitter connect you are loosing members. Content is everything. If there is no value to your network people will not stay. Sites need to offer easy ways to share valuable content with their friends. RT buttons, share on FB, digg buttons are a must if you want your users to spread the word about your site for you.

I wouldn’t even worry about members until you have a solid foundation of valuable content. Blog Blog Blog. Post forum topics till your fingers bleed. Add youtube videos and pics.

I just did this with another site and I haven’t had a problem. yet but really overriding theme files in a child theme would have the same results.

tsk tsk. use a child theme.

Download the bp-default folder. Upgrade. Then overwrite the updated bp-default folder with the one you downloaded. You should really move all your changes to a child theme so you dont have to do this in the future.

You most likely need to get rid of BP themes files from wp-content/themes.

You do not need to move any theme files to use the default BP theme.

Oh and if you have created pages in the admin for activity, groups, members. Delete those pages.
