@nit3watch @pcwriter – indeed, it was a file path problem in version 1.0 of the plugin. Corrections in version 1,01 resolved that. Re-activated all other BP/WP plugins in test install and all are working well together.

I’ve been using IP banning now for two days, and that has virtually eliminated most spam signups. Much as I hate to go that route, it’s great to have something that finally works. Will make the htaccess and wp-config changes today, too. Thanks again.

@pcwriter ‘s Add All Nav Links to BP Adminbar plugin has an option to do this with just click of a button.
There are many more configuration options to customise your admin bar.
