those arent the real values. thanks for the head up though *//hat tip*
Im also guessing that some plugins might be causing the problem..

Wow. judging from the forum posts; transitions to 1.2 is not smooth.. and many like the changes. cant wait for the next set of changes that will force me to redeploy my site again!

gotta say that this password-email issue is persistent — i have experienced this on several installs..
i myself just changed (reworded) the template email-copy thats sent so it doesnt mention the password at all.
Guys, But seriously,, even if the bot-spammer gets through — its still very taxing on my server!
Im thinking of installing “BAD Behavior” but im really trying to limit the stuff I have installed/
any suggestions?
Updating the “LINKS” directory in my theme worked!
But now, the detected IMAGE for the thumbnail doesnt actually get used when I save the link.
any thoughts?
— im curious.. when it dynamically detects the thumbnail to use.. where does it store the data?
P.S. I apologize for the delayed response .. I got really really sick the past few days.
agh.. i cant make this thing work..
“Please fill in all of the required fields”
is the message i get
I have object cache installed does that make a difference?
I just upgraded via the auto upgrade
im on
BP 1.1.2
PHP 5.1.4
and when im trying to create a link im geting:
“Please fill in all of the required fields”
Nothing I do to add a link seems to work
any ideas?
Thanks for the link.
Rather; what I mean is having a plugin that transforms a buddypress install to tumblr like system. so that we can host it ourselves.. its pretty close… now…
MAN.. I wish they had a BuddyPress plugin that turns my install into a Tumblr like clone.. I especially like the “LIKE/HEART” function and the “FOLLOW” function. that would be sweet.
its threads like this that makes me feel the pain of http://ma.tt when he encounters *for-pay* WP stuff .. and particular the wpmu drama!
anyhoo!
Are there any plans for “tools” for BP Links?
1) A code snippet for my blogs/post so that I can add it to my template and add a post to my links.. very similar to those “share this” buttons that are ever so popular
2) A bookmarklet for my browser?
With out these two tools, it makes it very hard for my users to share.
Thanks!
The other plugins arent designed for BuddyPress. Overall, I think having an life-activity aggregator is something desperately needed for buddypress.
I agree that conceptually there is a big difference between “stuff” and “actions”
–nonetheless;
just simply based on the constant request — it seems like a plugin is needed.
It would be a NICE feature if theres a general “Landing Page” to add links and it automatically detects if they are logged on and it ask them to log on if they are not.
also.. a BookMarklet that people can use.
That fixed it dude!
<high five>

Heres a screenshot..
