Not sure if I should create a new topic for this, but I’m curious as to which function I should be using – bp_get_user_groups or groups_get_user_groups. All I need are the IDs, but groups_get_user_groups doesn’t use wp_cache, and thus runs many redundant sql queries – this makes it seem like a completely redundant function.
@shanebp has been working on a geo-location plugin for BuddyPress which might be useful to you.

Hope this info helps!

oops!
i have to use “root”
instead of “redirect” 😐
because root points for not-logged-in-users.
and redirect points for successfully-logged in users!
sorry for that mistake.
now i’ve set

root = $redirect=get_home_url ( int $blog_id = null, string $path = '/login', string|null $scheme = null );

but error again! 🙁

correction:
