The failure to find
buddypress.min.cssis a clue.What is
pagespeed.ce?
Ask your hosting provider if you aren’t sure.
It might be a cacheing plugin.
Or maybe a CDN.In reply to: Can’t change colour into settings ? New feature ?The colors come from your WP theme – try switching to a WP theme like 2019 to see the difference.
What exactly was the fatal error?
Check theerror.logon your server.
Otherwise, sharing just a generic message makes it pretty much impossible to make suggestions. In reply to: BuddyPress not installed CerrectlyThat folder will not exist in ftp.
Did you assign a page to the Members component?
wp-admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Pages
Assign a page to each item shown on that screen. You can create a page and assign it – but leave the page blank.
In reply to: BuddyPress not installed CerrectlyDid you try a fresh save of your permalinks?
wp-admin > Settings > Permalinks
Select Post Name under Common Settings
Then click Save – even if you did not change anything. What do you expect to see in the activity stream?
They will not show up in the members loop until they have logged in at least once.
In reply to: Lost Password LinkPlease use the
codebutton when posting code.Did you look at the class? Did you see the hooks in the class?
You don’t add the hook, you use the hook – do_action.
In reply to: Lost Password LinkAnother plugin is the path of least resistance if you don’t know how to code, don’t want to learn and don’t have a developer.
Adding the lost-password link is easy.
Just use one of the action hooks in the class for that widget.
I suggest you use this hook:do_action( 'bp_login_widget_form' );
For the hook context, see this file:
buddypress\bp-core\classes\class-bp-core-login-widget.phpIf you don’t know how to code, share the hook info with your developer.
In reply to: Activity and public messaging issueDo you still want to use private messaging?
If not, simply turn off the Messaging component in wp-admin > Settings > BuddyPressIn reply to: Activity and public messaging issueTry deleting the wpengine cache and turning the settings ‘down’ as much as possible – they are quite aggressive about caching, which is great for WP but can cause issues with BP.
Try switching momentarily to a WP theme like 2019 to confirm that the issue is not specific to woffice.
In reply to: Activation / Registration emails not sendingPlease use the
codebutton when posting code. Those are the 2 things you can do.
The fact that you are getting fatal errors means that you are doing something wrong.
Therefore you should get some help from your support team.In reply to: Activation / Registration emails not sending> adding the custom file to my site via SSH caused a fatal error and crash
Then you did something wrong.
> but the list would not update
What list ?
If you are struggling to add a single file or a line of code to your site, then you should get your sysadmin to help you.
In reply to: Activation / Registration emails not sendingDid you try disabling BP email ?
I’ve never heard of that specific issue re BP + s2 members.
If you deactivate s2 Members, does the issue persist?
If you switch momentarily to a WP theme like 2019, does the issue persist? In reply to: Issue with upload profil’s image (crop)> (no issue with twenty nineteen)
Then it is obviously an issue with the Themo theme.
Does their theme include BuddyPress templates?
Does their theme enqueue javascript or minify javascript?Cropping issues are usually due to an absence or conflict re javascript.
Until somebody with experience with that theme sees your post, it is very unlikely that any solutions will be found here.
In reply to: inbox to new user automatic from adminThere is no
roleargument. Andrecipientstakes an array.Try:
$recipients = array( $user_id ); $args = array( 'sender_id' => 1, 'thread_id' => false, 'recipients' => $recipients, 'subject' => 'Hello new user', 'content' => 'Welcome to the site', 'date_sent' => bp_core_current_time() );In reply to: Activity and public messaging issuePlease use the
codebutton when posting code. Are you using a minify javascript plugin? Or similar setting for wpengine?
If so, please try turning it off.In reply to: Email ActivationYou could put it in your theme > functions.php
Or in bp-custom.phpIn reply to: BP_Groups_Widget isnt’ calling bp_ajax_querystringThe fastest and simplest solution would be to write your own widget.
Then you have complete control.
I suggest you create a plugin which calls a class that is a clone of the existing widget.
Change the names and make your custom calls.> … then why would BuddyPress not be the issue?
I’m saying that it is unlikely – not impossible.
Remember that plugins usually include hooks that other code or plugins or themes can use to inject code, behaviours etc.
So BP may be the issue. Or the issue may only manifest with BP.As I said, I’ve never seen this issue before.
I’m not going to buy the Eduma theme so I can test with it.
You are not my customer. You are a person having an issue with an open source codebase.
I am a volunteer and curious about your issue and willing to make suggestions about narrowing down the cause in the hope of clearing identifying a bug.
Since you do not want to proceed, I wish you all the best with your project. In reply to: Email Activationalso – have you tried disabling BP Email ?
Emails will then be sent via the WP Email code.
In reply to: Email ActivationIs it just the activation email that is not sending?
Or all BP emails, including things like @mentions ?Bizarre… I’ve never seen a similar report.
You’ll need to take some big swings at this.
Try deactivating everything but BuddyPress and use a WP theme like 2019.
Then start activating plugins one at a time and testing for the issue. It is very highly unlikely that the issue stems from BuddyPress.
BuddyPress does not touch comments on posts in wp-admin.
We are trying to help you narrow down possible causes.
Did you try deactivating BuddyPress and then test for the issue again? That url is Not Found.
To rule out a theme issue – did you try switching momentarily to a WP theme like 2019?
Are you using any translation plugins? Try turning them off.
