    Have you read the docs re advanced-configurations ?
    Note this section: ‘Put profiles in the root — example.org/username/’

    I cannot duplicate this using PHP Version 7.0.26

    As you probably know, it’s just a warning and can safely be ignored.
    And won’t be visible when you turn debug off.

    afaik, part of the next release is cleaning up some calls re PHP 7+

    If you’d like to open a ticket, you can do so here.
    Be sure to include the steps necessary to reproduce, including which template pack you have selected in Settings > BP > Options.

    You need to explain exactly where you want to display a user name.
    And whether that user is always the current logged-in user.

    You will need to add a conditional of some kind on a group template.
    You have a better chance of getting specific details by asking the creators of the gravity forms plugin.

    If you are using the Legacy Templates, the BuddyPress register form is here:
    buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\register.php

    If you are using the Nouveau Templates, the BuddyPress register form is here:
    buddypress\bp-templates\bp-nouveau\buddypress\members\register.php

    Probably, but you provide very little info about what you’re trying to do.

    I’m not aware of any plugin that does that.
    It’s not a simple task and creating such a plugin is beyond the scope of these support forums.

    Please use the code button when posting code.

    bp_activities_title() returns the title for all activities.

    If the activity item already exists, try bp_activity_feed_item_title()

    But it sounds like those items do not exist.
    You should not have to output those items.
    It should be done automatically – IF – you filter bp_blogs_record_post_post_types to include your post types.
    More info here.

    If you are using some plugin to create custom post types ( ACF ? ), the creators of that plugin may have some tips on how to use it with BuddyPress.

    I cannot duplicate this issue, and have tested Nouveau with several themes.

    To narrow down the variables in your situation, please try deactivating other plugins.

    Then something else is going on, something that will require a developer to investigate.
    If you do not have a developer, you can create a new topic here for the purpose of trying to hire a developer.

    Do you see other confirmation messages?
    Like ‘Changes saved.’ after you edit your profile ?

    If you were using a caching plugin, reactivate it, clear all caches and then deactivate it.

    You don’t say which BP Template Pack you are using.
    Or if you are using cover images on profiles.

    If you are using the BuddyPress Legacy pack – open the appropriate file from these choices:

    buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\single\cover-image-header.php
    buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\single\member-header.php

    And find: do_action( 'template_notices' );

    If you are using the BuddyPress Nouveau pack – then the direct call is not in a template.
    Look this function bp_nouveau_template_notices() in
    buddypress\bp-templates\bp-nouveau\includes\template-tags.php

    Make sure that you are not running any code that filters notices.

    Have you tried changing your password on the front end?

    You should see this message, usually below the header and above the tabs:
    Your settings have been saved.

    Screenshot is from a test site using the WP 2015 theme.

    Did you ask the creators of BuddyPress Activity Plus about your issue?

    @shanebp

    Have you tried switching momentarily to a WP theme like 2016?
    If you do and the problems are resolved, then you know the issue is in your theme and you should speak to the theme creators.

    BuddyPress does not add a random description or social icons.
    You may also want to try deactivating plugins one at a time until you identify the source of the issue.
    Then you can contact the developers for that plugin.

    BuddyPress does not have membership levels.

    If you are using another plugin for membership levels – ask them for the code to retrieve a membership level for the current user.

    Then ask bbPress support ( bbpress.org/forums/ ) about the best hook to use to maybe restrict access.

    It may not be possible. You should ask rtmedia support.

    Did you include the add_action ?

    add_action( 'bp_before_member_header_meta', 'verifed_profile_check' );
    function verifed_profile_check( ) {

         $user = get_userdata( bp_displayed_user_id() );

         if ( in_array( 'certified_subscribers', (array) $user->roles ) ) {

             echo '<span class="pmpro_label"> CERTIFIED PROFILE </span>';

         }
         else {
              echo '<span class="pmpro_label"> not certified </span>';
         }

    }

    The code above should show something. And you or your developer can debug from there.

    Untested but your solution will be something like this:

    function verifed_profile_check( ) {

         $user = get_userdata( bp_displayed_user_id() );

         if ( in_array( 'certified_subscribers', (array) $user->roles ) ) {

             echo '<span class="pmpro_label"> CERTIFIED PROFILE </span>';

         }

    }

    Have you tried the solution mentioned here.

    If you deactivate BP, can a user register and get an email about it?

    @shanebp

    You said the code you posted was not working.
    Now you say it is working?
    But you want some different?
    Please make clear statements and ask clear questions.

    Please use the code button when posting code.

    BuddyPress does not show the user role on a user profile.

    Can you find out if it is your theme or some plugin that is showing the role?
    That would be the best place to make your change.

    @shanebp

    afaik – there is no plugin for that. But it is possible via custom code.

    You would need to create an interface for creating the custom content and then store it on a per member basis – probably in the usermeta database table.

    Then you would need to add code to the members header template that checks for the custom content.

    If you write some custom code for those purposes, somebody here might be able to give some suggestions if you run into issues.
    If you cannot write that code, then you need to hire a developer.
    Please do not expect anyone here to provide a free custom solution.

    Please use punctuation when posting to these forums.

    Please switch to a WP theme like 2016.
    If the problem does not persist, then you know it is an issue with your theme and you should contact the theme creators.
