In reply to: Show additional fields on member profile header
You have identified the correct code location:
Assuming your field names are
CityandState, try:bp_member_profile_data( 'field=City' ); bp_member_profile_data( 'field=State' );If you need to do some formatting or add text or check for empty fields, use:
$city = bp_get_member_profile_data( 'field=City' ); echo $city;what code should I place and where?
I’ve provided the code to use.
And explained that you need to find the code that displays the avatar on post pages – it’s somewhere in your theme.In reply to: Echo Screen Title On New Profile Nav TabTake a look at this example which includes a title:
https://gist.github.com/shanebp/5d3d2f298727a0a036e5It works here.
You need to put it in a template overload of this file:
buddypress\bp-templates\bp-legacy\buddypress\members\members-loop.phpReplace the update code with this:
<span class="update"><?php $args = array( 'length' => 50 ); bp_member_latest_update( $args ); ?></span>Try:
<?php $args = array( 'length' => 100 ); bp_member_latest_update( $args ); ?>In reply to: Ability to use get_profile_tab_link() functionIf you want a link to the logged in user’s BP profile, use
bp_loggedin_user_domain()
Something like:
href="<?php echo bp_loggedin_user_domain() . '/favorites'; ?>"In reply to: Searchable travel itineraries for users?What you want is possible, but very specific.
How the search needs to work will determine many aspects of how the data is created.
Your best bet is commissioning a custom plugin.

In reply to: Restricting Group names.I’ve deleted that gist and added a new one:
https://gist.github.com/shanebp/72a0c6fe7ffb6f9c1424a30bdb455d4fIt should only check for duplicate names if on the first tab – ‘Details’.
You can always create a ticket asking for a change to core files.
That’s an avatar, not a post image.
The function you pasted abovestreamline_post_image()deals with post images, not avatars – correct?
Try adding a post image to a post and see if it has a link to the author profile.
Then find the code that calls the avatar and use the same process to change the avatar link.
As I suggested in my first post in this thread.None of those posts have images – so how are you clicking on the post image?
Create a post with an image in it – then click it.And if you click on the post image, where do you go?
In reply to: ATT: ModeratorDone – also removed from the entry above.
In reply to: Restricting Group names.It should be easier, and maybe it is…

In reply to: ATT: ModeratorWhy would you like to delete that post?
Did you try:
printf( '<a href="%s" rel="bookmark"><img src="%s" alt="%s" /></a>', bp_core_get_user_domain( $post->post_author ), $image, the_title_attribute( 'echo=0' ) );
