    If they’ve logged in, they should have a last_activity entry – without which they won’t appear on the Members page.

    If you aren’t concerned about existing last_activity entries for those who currently do appear, paste this function in your theme/functions.php.
    It will create a last_activity entry for all users and set it to the current time.

    Load the site once and then remove this function so that it does not run again.

    function brad_add_last_activity() {
        global $wpdb;
        foreach ( $wpdb->get_col( "SELECT ID FROM $wpdb->users" ) as $user_id ) {
            bp_update_user_last_activity( $user_id, bp_core_current_time() );
        }
    }
    add_action('bp_init', 'brad_add_last_activity' );

    …shown up as members in BP, and some have not.

    You mean don’t show up on the Members page?
    Can you go to the profile page of those members?
    ala – yoursite.com/members/bradley/

    In fact, I want to post some articles to talk about some contests / tests.
    Only identified buddypress members will be able to see this articles (I make a restriction on them)

    In fact, I don’t car using groups… I just need to register people who wants to participate (and then be able to do an export with export user data plugin that I m using actually)

    Don’t use groups.
    Use user_meta: https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/add_user_meta
    And the field should be picked up by your export plugin.

    Use this file or you won’t see changes:

    You should ask the creators of the Activity Plus plugin.

    You should be aware that forums and activity are different components.
    And that forums has its own support site: https://bbpress.org/forums/
    There may be a plugin re images in forums.

    Please use the code button when sharing code.

    This should work – but could cause conflicts with other plugins.
    And the message is the default fail message.
    So you should at least hard-code a warning into the compose template.

    // if not site admin, restrict PMs to friends
    function pp_check_message_recipients( $message_info ) {

    	// site admins are not restricted
    	if ( is_super_admin() )
    		return $message_info;

    	$recipients = $message_info->recipients;

    	$friend_ids = friends_get_friend_user_ids( bp_displayed_user_id() );

    	$nf = 0;

    	foreach ( $recipients as $key => $recipient ) {

    		if ( ! in_array( $recipient->user_id, $friend_ids ) )
    			$nf++;

    	}

    	// if any recipients are not friends, remove everyone from the recipient's list
    	if (  $nf > 0 )
    		unset( $message_info->recipients );

    	return $message_info;
    }
    add_action( 'messages_message_before_save', 'pp_check_message_recipients' );

    Are you currently having problems? Too slow, etc.

    The main factors are the number of members and how active they are.
    ‘Active’ refers to concurrent users.
    ‘Concurrent users’ are the number of users who are actively doing something at any one time.
    For instance, posting updates.
    It does not refer to the number of users currently logged in.

    Usually, the first step is increasing the amount of memory – if that is an option with your hosting.
    But before you do that – do some reading.
    Google: ‘buddypress performance’

    You may need a VPS or even dedicated server – but they are considerably more expensive.

    No, but this plugin will give site admins access via wp-admin:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-messages-tool/

    or

    For BP 2.5+, a different hook is used.
    Try:

    function danny_set_email( $email_type, $email_obj ) {
        $email_obj->set_from( "noreply@your-web.com", "your-web.Com" );
    }
    add_action( 'bp_email', 'danny_set_email', 10, 2 );

    afaik, there are no plugins.
    But it’s a simple filter.

    The site admins have added code or a plugin that requires you to be logged in before you can view the members page. If you are not logged in, you will be sent to the home page.
    You should contact the site owners with any other questions.

    Try using the filter hook in function bp_activity_content_body()
    Found in buddypress\bp-activity\bp-activity-template.php

    Looks like wordpress isn’t sending any email at all

    It’s a fairly common problem.

    I cannot duplicate your issue using a standard WP theme, like 2015, and no custom code other than the filter discussed in this thread.

    I suspect an issue with your customized version of the members loop or some custom function re members and / or friendships.

    That’s a nasty side effect.
    It’s probably related to some other custom code.
    Does it also do that if you use the default members-loop layout?

    You might try changing the filter call to:
    add_filter( ‘bp_before_has_members_parse_args’, ‘see_woman_gender’ );

    btw – your first linked image is empty.

    What does this mean ? /custom-user-profile-page/

    Would this work as a link to your profile page > edit ?
    page.ru/members/selenii/profile/edit

    You’re saying that new products appear in the activity stream, but products created ‘at some time in the past’ do not?

    They won’t because entries are created when products are created – not retroactively.

    @shanebp

    bp_displayed_user_link() only works when viewing profile pages.

    You need to open the file that calls the posts loop on your front page.
    In that loop you’ll find a call to the post author.
    And the creation of a link.
    In that link, change the href to bp_core_get_user_domain( $post->post_author );

    So you are using a plugin called ‘awersone support’ to create some kind of ticket somewhere.
    And you want that plugin to generate a BP message or notification?

    Then you’ll have to write it yourself or ask the creators of ‘plugin awersone support’ to add that feature.

    I can confirm, using BP 2.5.1, that the “accepted your friendship request” email is not sent.

    The ‘friendship requested’ email is sent.

    Ticket opened.

    They did and reported above:

    “Reinstall emails” work fine but the problem is the same: all new mails are not updatable.

    Thanks for providing further info.

    Please create a ticket here using the same user & pw you use for these forums.

    And include a link to this topic.

    The Register, and Activate pages should have been created when you installed BP.

    You’ll need to create them. Leave them blank.

    ‘Search’ is not a default BP component. So some other code or plugin is adding it.

    By ‘save’, you mean update?

    Have you tried editing and updating any other emails?
    If so, did the same issue occur?

    Have you tried using the Email Repair tool?
    wp-admin > Tools > BuddyPress > ‘Reinstall emails (delete and restore from defaults).’
    This will delete your current emails including any edits you made to them.

    What version of WP are you using?
