Has the project decided what to do about the product?

Is it documented somewhere what versions of PHP a particular BP release is tested up to?
Or, can you tell me if 10.6.0 is confirmed for 8.0 and 8.1?

you need to debug a bit, try deactivating plugins and change themes to verify those are not causing the problem.

Are you running a cache on the site?

Problem solved. The reason Public Message was redirecting me to a 404 error is because I did not have Activity Stream set up. At first I did not want it but now its best to keep it.

@djpaul of course, you’re on top of this as usual, but have you heard anything from the plugin author about him renaming his function bp_login_redirect() so that it doesn’t conflict with the (now) native buddypress function with the same namesake? I notice that the plugin hasn’t been updated since 5-20-2012.
